THE BRILLIANT CAPTAIN'S QUARTERS tells us that Citgo is wholly owned by Venezuela, which means its profits are going into the pockets of the man in the picture - a man who feels it is okay to come into our country and defame and insult the President of the United States (an offense that would get a person shot in his country) and generally sound like a leftwing Democrat!

I have yet to hear of a person in Venezuela, a country ruled by the people for the people, being shot for political dissedence.

Could you name a few and, or state the law? That would be very helpful, thank you.

I think that his speech the other day at the UN was bold and absurd (mostly because he employed the 'devil' into his speech, as well as other references to the bible).

But unfortunately he is a smart man and his opinions reflect the distaste of American policies throughout the world right now.

It's good of you to bring up this Chavez debate. Thank you again

Pete

Venezuela is a totarlitarian regime and the press is wholly controlled by the government. Ergo, you wouldn't hear about protests or executions. I think the problem with many so-called "progressive" Americans is that they view the world through the prism of this country's freedoms and way of life - failing to realize that we are exceptionally free. And often that freedom is taken for license which is NOT the same thing.

Chavez is a moron, absolutely. And a rude one at that!
