According to the latest, not necessarily verified, intel Iran has given the green light to its minions around the region to attack American interests, specifically and particularly, the American Embassy in Baghdad. Then Iran starts lobbing bombs at Israel (their REAL target) and Israel, true to form - and as they should - retaliates. Using a nuke is not out of the question given the historic antipathy of Iran towards Israel, as well as Israel's long-held mantra of "Never Again". Then the various Saudi-sponsored bad actors start stirring up a shitstorm throughout the region and here we go again!

Given the predictions that Pope Francis (who has already sternly admonished Urkel to stand down) is the LAST Pope, as well as other predictions of the like, is this the beginning of the end times? All because Urkel in the White House is trying to show his nonexistent cojones!

REALLY folks? Do we really have to do this? Do we really want to once again stir up the laws of unintended consequences?

There is NO UPSIDE to bombing Syria and only the possibility of further attempts to destroy us on our own soil.

They don't think. They FEEL, they REACT to stimuli the way infants do. There is no reasoning with their primitive idiocy and trying to do so, over and over and over again, is the height of insanity!

AND A FINAL NOTE: The fraudulent so-called president is claiming that HE didn't draw a red line but rather than CONGRESS did.....preparing for failure you miserable excuse for a human being?

This is how little regard for the American people this Administration has and, when you think about it, if those were victims of chemical weapons (in Iraq, mind you) then why do they keep saying the Bush 43 lied? It's all just so impossibly despicable!

And a note to those who are running their mouths while Congress is not in session - return to Washington, D.C., call Congress into session and tell this sniveling wimp he doesn't have authorization to do what he is clearly planning to do. SAVANNAH, Ga. — A federal judge Monday threw out race discrimination claims by a former Savannah restaurant manager whose lawsuit against Paula Deen has already cost the celebrity cook a valuable chunk of her culinary empire.

Lisa Jackson sued Deen and her brother, Bubba Hiers, last year saying she suffered from sexual harassment and racially offensive talk and employment practices that were unfair to black workers during her five years as a manager of Uncle Bubba's Seafood and Oyster House. Deen is co-owner of the restaurant, which is primarily run by her brother.

I can't wait to see the toadying that begins when the formerly judgmental and bullying idiots like Food Network and Wal-Mart and all the other people who have been piling on this woman for months start to slowly but surely try to creep back into business with all of them! If she's smart, she'll tell them all to go screw themselves.

So if the s.o.b. is impeached, as he fully deserves to be, what then? Joe Biden? Give me a break! They both deserve simultaneous removal since - and I never thought I'd say this - Obama is exactly as stupid as Biden! Anyone who thinks that we have 57 states and that Jacksonville, Florida is on the GULF COAST is a complete moron - no ifs, and, or maybes! Had Romney or Sarah Palin ever said something so ignorant, they'd have been crucified by the lying, sack of shit media. But when their darling Obama does it, they just merrily ignore the gaffes and continue in their fiction that he's the smartest man in the room.

Here's a thought, let's PROVE once and for all that himself was born in Kenya! What would happen then? All the bills he signed into law, every executive order, every action taken by the pretender would be nullified in full. The next question is - is Biden still properly elected. I'm no constituional scholar, so I hesitate to hazard a guess. But the lies, evasions and sweet cuddles given by the media have got to stop! LES MISERABLES AT THE RIVERSIDE DINNER THEATRE IN FREDERICKSBURG, VA

It's worth the money ($65 ticket)(Box Office 540/370-4300) and the time (if you're not IN Fredericksburg) to come see this production. It is - in one word - MAGNIFICENT!

The voices are beyond first rate, the staging is exceptional and the food isn't bad either! David Michael Felty is Jean Valjean and he is nothing short of magnificent! Actually there isn't a marginal or bad performance onstage.

It's easily reached off I-95 at the Route 17 (Warrenton) exit and is a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

And it's running to November 24, 2013!

APPARENTLY THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY OF VIRGINIA THINKS WE'RE ALL MORONS!

I've watched and watched the dishonest and outrageously deceptive ads being run against gubernatorial candidate Ken Cuccinelli by the Virginia DNC.

First off, there's an elderly woman whining that Ken Cuccinelli doesn't approve of Social Security and Medicare benefits. ON WHAT PLANET DOES THE GOVERNOR OF A STATE HAVE A DAMNED THING TO DO WITH THIS FEDERAL MATTER?

Then there is the ad bloviating about the fact that Ken doesn't like Roe v. Wade. So the hell what? A state's governor has no influence over what is again, a Federal mandate!

The campaign is so disingenuous that it is an insult to every citizen of Virginia - even the Democratic voters! It's high time that we slap these dishonest hucksters upside the head by electing Ken Cuccinelli as Virginia's next governor!

OPEN LETTER TO WAL-MART, KMART, HOME DEPOT, BALLENTINE BOOKS, RANDOM HOUSE, et al.

I know I left out one of the prime movers in the Paula Deen debacle - The Food Network - but they're such a bunch of weinie-brained losers they wouldn't even understand this post. Since they do not understand that because of Paula Deen they had a BLACK (Pat and Gina Neeley) couple doing one of their shows - then they're truly morons and not worth any effort. Self-destruction is a possibility!

Here's the deal. You other folks bully and castigate and generally pile on a 66-year old woman who used a WORD that is considered incorrect - despite the fact that, like Ms. Deen, you've probably used it in your past lives and without the provocation of a black man holding a gun to your head in a bank where you work. We still hsve freedom of expression in this country - even when the freedom is used to say unpleasant things. So I'm going to be even more politically incorrect and suggest that - for the foreseeable and undetermined future - I'm going to make the effort to avoid your various places of business. There is nothing whatsoever that I need that I cannot get somewhere else - probably in one of the "mom and pop" stores that have struggled so mightily since the heydey of the megastore has dawned.

My thinking is that I can remove MY dollars from your companies and, should other feel like-minded, maybe you all will pay as you deserve to pay for the bullying of a 66-year old woman by a bunch of hypocritical lemmings!

Whatinhell?!

The woman did not kill anyone. Neither did she take $1.5 million to perform for the president of one of the most repressive regimes in the world (Jennifer Lopez), nor is she a six-times-in-rehab starlet (Lindsay Lohan). She used a word that is by any measure offensive and no longer used but it's only a WORD people and I don't believe there was anything more than thoughtlessness involved.

The piling on that is happening to this 66-year-old woman is more offensive than the word she has admitted to having used in the past (and who among us can truly claim to be innocent in that regard - back in the day when we were stupid and thoughtless). Last time I looked we still have freedom of expression in this country and the calumny being heaped on this woman is excessive, unwarranted and thoroughly despicable.

Her cookbook publishers are so eager to be politically correct that they're inviting legal action against themselves, not to mention severe financial losses (which their stockholders must LOVE) since the book they've decided not to publish was probably already being printed and since it was already ordered to an extent that it was on the best-seller list pre-publication.

I think this country has lost its mind.

THE PAULA DEEN AFFAIR

The Paula Deen "scandal" has now been blown entirely out of proportion, the fuel being thrown on the fire by such paragons of civil speech as Joy Behar, a woman who, if hate speech and offensive language were a measure of worthiness of employment, she'd have been on the bread lines long ago. For her to cast aspersions on anything, real or imagined, that Paula Deen has said in the past is the height of sanctimonious hypocrisy. Likewise other such as the ladies of the talk, Wendy Williams, and all the rest. The only "talk show" folks who haven't piled on were the people at The Chew - all of whom have know Paula Deen and her family for years.

Now let's talk about The Food Network which has profited handsomely over the years from Paula Deen's various successful shows. Really? Really? All y'all are a bunch of lily-livered weinies! And what about those upstanding, courageous folks (not) at Smithfield? When they were involved in a contentious lawsuit and the other side urged Ms. Deen to drop her contract with Smithfield, she refused to do so. Pity that loyalty wasn't returned.

And of course it's bad enough these hypocritical yahoos are dumping on her for language she may have used back in the distant day, they're also bringing up the fact that she kept the news of her diabetes diagnosis to herself. Well hell, I'd keep it to myself as well. That diagnosis is a world shaker! If she chose to take some private time to make her peace with a life-changing medical situation, that's HER business folks.

I think we've all lost our minds in this country. We think that every little thing about every celebrity should be revealed to us as soon as we demand it. What hogwash!

2013 Daytime Emmy Awards on HLN

To say that this show was a disjointed, appalling and utterly amateurish mess would be gross understatement on my part!

First of all, the show was hosted by three news people - all of whom tried to be amusing with virtually no success. And whyinhell was the show on HLN anyway? What daytime shows does anyone watch THERE? And whose brilliant idea was it to position a red couch on far side of the stage where various uncomfortable people sat to interview people who had just won a Daytime Emmy, people who were in no condition to be coherent! Giada DiLaurentis was wearing a dress on that couch when she interviewed Scott Clifton and Billy Miller after their joint win that left no doubt in anyone's mind that she is a well-endowed woman. And someone needs to tell Rachael Ray that she should not be displaying HER cleavage - it's minimal and it's seriously unattractive.

The production values were disjointed and sloppy - even to the point that when Aisha Tyler opened up the envelope for one award, the card for the wrong category was contained in it! Dear merciful heavens!

It's pretty doggone sad when the "In Memoriam" segment, which was accompanied by something in Italian sung by Il Volo was so poorly planned that the cameraman couldn't figure out that he should be concentrating on the pictures and names of the recently deceased persons, and NOT on the three singers! Bush league, and that's being kind to them.

All in all, it continues to amaze me that people whose job it is to produce television on a regular basis can do such a disgraceful job of producing their own awards shows!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

My father, Gilbert Joseph Miller (1913-1984) was one of six brilliant - and slightly peculiar - children. Guess that goes a long way toward explaining ME!

To give you an idea of my father's somewhat eccentric ways, there is this: In 1958 I bought a house. My father, an electrical engineer, was dissatisfied with the electrical situation in this brand new domicile. Accordingly, he had two additional electrical lines run into the house - a 220 and another 120. He had no intention of ever seeing a short circuit develop on his watch!

Then he proceeded to rewire this just-built house to HIS requirements (and as I have come to realize, he was way ahead of his time in this) with me helping him in his endeavors. This is how I came to be sitting on a stepladder, in my own basement, one Saturday morning, holding two wires. My father casually walked by and commented "It would probably be a good idea if you didn't let those two wires touch. I haven't turned off the main!"

For this and all the many other examples of your humor, your loving care for me and your frequently dry and hilarious commentary on the world through your eyes, I love you and miss you and value your place in my life.
