Once again another straw poll has shown that Republican voters are willing to consider Mitt Romney as a presidential candidate in 2012, side-by-side with Huckabee and the luminescent Sarah Palin!

Shall we get real folks? Mitt Romney is a non-starter in the eyes of anyone who has ever seriously read a newspaper, even one as feckless and unreliable as the New York "Slimes". This is the man who was governor of Massachusetts and signed into law the precurser to Obamacare for goodness sakes. This is also the candidate Zippy Obama would most like to run against! Romney has the personality of a dead carp! Mike Huckabee is probably a perfectly nice man but he doesn't exude the mental capacity and agility to mount a successful campaign against the well-funded Obama machine. Sarah Palin is likely the only one of those three so-called "front runners" who has a chance in hell and then only if she has a really good running mate. Herman Cain and Col. Allen West both come to mind!

As the Middle East continues to implode it becomes more and more important that we find a cure for our national ailment - Barack Hussein Obama, his hypocritical spouse, and his dumber-than-dirt Vice President, along with the entire Cabinet, particularly Eric Holder - probably the absolute WORST Attorney General in U.S. history!

The President tells Eric Holder that he doesn't need to defend a law passed by both houses of the U.S. Congress? What kind of shit is that!

BRILLIANT MIND UTILIZED WELL

I am the first one to say that I fall in love easily. Often the objects of my affection let me down in one way or another (Newt Gingrich comes to mind; he's starting to redeem himself but has a long way to go). I don't think that Herman Cain is one of those short-term situations. Listen to his speech from CPAC and you'll see what I mean. He is the sexiest kind of man - brilliant, capable of critical thinking, strong and that VOICE is a magnificent instrument! The Tea Party and the right-leaning wing of the Republican Party is starting to produce some very viable and attractive possible candidates to carry us through the next couple of decades at least!

God loves America, that's evident. And due to the arrival of the likes of Chris Christie, Herman Cain, Col. Allen West, Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann, it's becoming evident that God loves the Republican Party as well!

Okay, that last was hubris of a sort, but I'm feeling inspired today!

2012 IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER!(?)

Already Republicans are hearing advice from the cognoscenti and the mandarins of the New York Times - a newspaper so irrelevant that it's even ticking off its own liberal base (when the NYT has ticked off Whoopi Goldberg you know they're in trouble!) - as to the proper candidates to oppose their beloved darling, the current sitting (if not legitimate) president of the United States, Barack Hussein Obama.

The left-leaning liberal establishment very much supports the likes of Mitt Romney - who always looks to me as though he's trying to destroy the ozone layer with excess hair spray, is burdened with the stiffest most turgid body language and comes to you courtesy of the Massachusetts health care law debacle, wearing it as if it were a leper's bell around his neck.

What Republicans need to get through their thick skulls is that any Republican recommended by the NYT is a candidate to be run from at a velocity surpassing that of sound or light!

I'm looking at possibilities. I'm seeing (contrary to the b.s. being promulgated by the NYT writers) a wealth of possibilities. There's of course my #1 choice, Sarah Heath Palin with a running mate of say Rep. Allen West. That ticket has so much to recommend it that I don't even know where to begin. What conservatives and Republicans must not do is fight amongst themselves in any prolonged and destructive war, nor should they even begin to consider the losers of past primary battles, nor should we consider "conventional wisdom" which is neither wise nor conventional. We need to think outside the box and we need to mount our campaign using strong, principled, intelligent and forward thinking.

Our nation is now and will continue to be under attack from within (the liberal left wingnut faction of the Democratic Party - which, while not especially large is particularly noisy) and from without - the Islamofascist cretins! We need serious and strong leadership that possesses a spine, a heart and a intelligent courage. We don't have it now, we need to get our hands on some ASAP!

COULD WE ALL JUST TAKE A NICE DEEP BREATH?

The 11/2 election is complete [except for recounts and other Dem huggery buggery with "found" ballots and such] and the Republicans have taken a number of seats away from the Dems in the Senate - although The Cadaver is still the Majority Leader - and Nancy Pelosi, the Wicked Witch of San Francisco has been resoundingly stripped of her power and her position a heartbeat from the Presidency! Thank you dear Lord.

From now until the first week in January 2011, could we all just take a nice deep breath and cease the never-ending campaigns?

DEMOCRATS THINK THEY HAVE A CHANCE

In the area of rampant self-delusion, DNC Chairman Tim Kaine said the following:

"There's a lot of doom and gloom about it, but I think we're going to do a lot better than people think," Tim Kaine, the Democratic Party chairman, told Democratic National Committee members at a two-day meeting. "We've got a long way to go, but I think a number of factors are moving in the right direction for us."

I live where Tim Kaine formerly governed - The Commonwealth of Virginia. We now have an effective and skillful governor - Bob McDonnell. Here is one small measure of the current governor's effectiveness (in comparison to Tim Kaine total ineffectiveness) - Tim Kaine closed all the rest areas along I-95 in both directions to save money because the State was in such woeful financial shape. Not only has Bob McDonnell already reopened those rest stops, but Virginia's finances are in healthy condition again after 4 years of Kaine's mishandling of the Commonwealth's purse.

So while I do not recommend that anyone become smug or lazy when working against the blithering idiots currently infecting both the House and Senate, to make a complete reform as of November 2nd, take heart. They have a moron leading their party and all the money in their coffers will avail them very little in the hands of a mis-manager like Kaine!

More and more it is becoming imperative that we make every possible effort to remove these idiotic trolls from public office! They are taking our country down for the third time and we're running out of time to do CPR!

Statistics prove that 90% or more of child and domestic abuse is perpetrated by drug-addled abusers! That alone should say something about the need to get the illegal drug trade under control. And by the way - the statistics also aver that only 10% of alcohol-addled cretins are abusers. So don't do that moral equivalency crap, please!

What's the real reason that Mr. Soros (who may well be Satan's imp - in fact I'm sure of it) wants drugs readily and legally available in this country? My guess is that he wants us nice and stoned when he calls in his storm troopers to take us over. And it's becoming readily apparent to him that his current ploy in the form of that ignorant, incompetent Kenyan wetback is failing miserably!

I think it's time for all good little Buddhists to start chanting for Soros' happiness. It's the surest way to spike his guns for good.

GOVERNOR CHRISTIE OF NEW JERSEY - WHAT'S NOT TO LOVE ABOUT THIS MAN?

This is my idea of what a governor should be - fully committed to serving the people of his state - not the special interests and other political hucksters that almost-always flutter around politicians of his stature! And make no mistake, this governor has stature to spare!

Seeing how this marvelous man comports himself makes me realize that this is the kind of political LEADER I remember from my youth - a man who is sure of himself, unapologetic in his masculinity, intelligent and courageous. And it makes me pray that he doesn't display feet of clay.

No, Governor Christie may not be an ideologue's dream of a politician - he may be too pragmatic and blunt for many but the bottom line is, we must now and forevermore eschew our insistence on style over substance. The nation simply cannot afford any more of it!

OHIO DISPLAYS A RETURN TO COMMON SENSE

The positively horrendous incompetent Ohio Secretary of State - so dim she cannot even mount a vote-stealing scheme undetectably - has been defeated in her bid to fill the Democratic nomination for the people's Senate seat, currently occupied by the endlessly disappointing George voinovich.

Now Lee Fischer will be carrying the Democratic Party's standard in that race which will be won by the Republican nominee U.S. Rep. Rob Portman, who was endorsed by the Tea Party movement.

According to an article appearing in today's Washington Examiner, the Democratic Party is! This is yet another example of the Dems claiming the Republicans to be the kind of cynical "users" that Democrats actually are, and the public seemingly is buying into their lies!

For years it was said that the GOP was the party of big business. That might have been true once upon a time, but it hasn't been the case for great while. Notably, the Democrats captured a big chunk of Silicon Valley as the internet emerged as a dominant force in the 1990s. And lately, Wall Street has been firmly in the Democrats' corner.

Despite this, Democrats still spent quite a bit of energy successfully tarring Republicans as beholden to corporate America. Well, with the Goldman Sachs scandal, it finally seems that the major media are starting to wise up about where the Democrats bread is buttered.

When oh when is the Democratic Party going to stop pushing their oh-so-holier-than- Republicans agenda and start admitting the truth?

Stupak to retire, putting seat in play

Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Mich.), who had a central role in the health reform fight as the leader of anti-abortion Democrats, plans to announce Friday that he will not run for reelection, a Democratic official said. Without Stupak on the ballot, the seat becomes an immediate pickup opportunity for Republicans.

"Now with health care done, he’s retiring," a friend said. "He has thought about retiring for the last three cycles, but was always talked into staying: to elect John Kerry to help end the war, to elect a Democratic majority to get health care done.

President Barack Obama called Stupak on Wednesday and asked him not to retire. Stupak, 58, also resisted entreaties from Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Rep. John Dingell (D-Mich.), the dean of the Wolverine State delegation.

Republicans immediately attributed Stupak's decision to step down as a direct consequence of his health care vote.

“After selling his soul to Nancy Pelosi, it appears that Bart Stupak finally found the courage to tell her no," said National Republican Congressional Committee communications director Ken Spain. "The political fallout over the Democrats’ government takeover of healthcare has put the political careers of many Democrats in jeopardy thanks in-part to Stupak’s decision to abandon his alleged pro-life principles."

Republicans believe that other pro-life Democrats, like freshman Reps. Steve Driehaus (D-Ohio) and Kathy Dahlkemper (D-Pa.), will also face serious trouble because of their support for the health care legislation without strict anti-abortion provisions.

Stupak plans to continue to live in the district, the Democratic official said. He plans to say that as he opens a new chapter, he will continue to serve the people of the First District, just not as their congressman.

I don't imagine that being targeted by the Tea Party Express had anything to do with this? Naw - that would imply that our lawmakers are actually capable of listening to their employers! I also have to say that if you're going to retire, there's no prettier place on the planet in which to do it. I absolutely LOVE the Northern Peninsula of Michigan - especially a little place called Lake Autrain!

REMEMBERING THOSE WE'VE LOST

One of the least enjoyable parts of aging is that you lose a lot of beloved friends to death. Sometimes it's avoidable (David's drug addiction and death from overdose and his mother's subsequent suicide by self-neglect) and sometimes, as in the case of my cousin Linda's former husband Johnny, it's due to an aggressive form of colon cancer that evaded a colonoscopy a little over a year ago and ended his life within a very short time frame.

No matter how these beloved family and/or friends have left this earth, they are still deeply missed. And since this is the day before Good Friday (what were those idiots in Davenport, Iowa thinking to want to rename it Celebrate Spring Day?!), today is a good day to consider those beloved lost ones and offer up a prayer or two in their honor. In July I will turn 68 years of age; I have lost both parents, four grandparents, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Many friends have died as well and their absence from my life is an ongoing source of pain.

So I will pray for those I have lost and also pray for those who remain and are more cherished by their very continuation in this life of mine. I will also pray for the Kenyan wetback and his family - that they may remain safe until that time when we can kick his skinny ass out of the Oval Office legally!

Dear Leader Reid:

We understand from press reports and comments that you and the Speaker have made that the House and Senate will use the budget reconciliation process to overhaul our nation’s health care system, which represents 1/6th of our economy. We urge you to not use reconciliation to pass a partisan bill that is opposed by the majority of Americans.

The American people have been paying close attention to the health reform debate; they understand the issues being discussed and they have expressed broad opposition not only to the substance of the health reform bills, but also to the process by which those bills have been developed. According to a February 24 CNN poll, 73 percent of Americans believe Congress should either start over on an “entirely new bill” or not do health care reform at all this year. A Gallup survey released February 25 showed that the majority of Americans oppose using reconciliation to expedite passage of health reform legislation through the Senate.

Overhauling our health care system will affect every single American and is simply too important to be passed without broad bipartisan support. Yet, it is clear that the only reason you are considering using the budget reconciliation process to pass this unpopular bill is because you have not been able to attract any Republican support for your comprehensive health bill.

We recommend you rethink your plans of expediting such legislation through Congress over the strong objections of the American people. We urge you to listen to the advice of Senator Robert C. Byrd, who was quoted in the Washington Post on March 22, 2009:

I am certain that putting health-care reform and climate change legislation on a freight train through Congress is an outrage that must be resisted.

Using the reconciliation process to enact major legislation prevents an open debate about critical issues in full view of the public. Health reform and climate change are issues that, in one way or another, touch every American family. Their resolution carries serious economic and emotional consequences.

The misuse of the arcane process of reconciliation — a process intended for deficit reduction — to enact substantive policy changes is an undemocratic disservice to our people and to the Senate’s institutional role.

We agree with this assessment—misusing the Senate rules in this way would be a tremendous “disservice” to the American people and it is “an outrage” that we should resist.

In that regard, to endeavor to ensure that the reconciliation process is not used to fast-track an unpopular bill through Congress, we wish to inform you that we will oppose efforts to waive the so-called Byrd Rule during Senate consideration of any reconciliation bill concerning health reform. The Byrd Rule, as you know, was created by Senator Byrd to ensure that reconciliation bills were not used to enact policy changes, the primary purpose of which is not specifically related to the federal budget. As it takes 60 votes to waive the Byrd Rule, we can ensure that any provision that trips the Byrd Rule will be stripped from the bill, which will require that the bill be sent back to the House for further consideration and additional votes.

We urge you to abandon the use of reconciliation to pass a partisan bill that is opposed by the vast majority of Americans. Instead, we encourage you to work with us on a series of bipartisan bills that provide a step-by-step approach to reducing the cost of health care for Americans.

What we need to happen is this: we need to convince other moderate, conservative, and independent sites to think outside the usual box and direct all activist power to identifying and pressuring Democrat donors to rein the office-holders in. Instead of hitting the Senators and Congress critters directly, it will carry much more weight to have wealthy socialite donors make those calls for us — frantic — that their support for the people behind this madness has caused the public to start sending thousands of letters a day to their law firms and jamming their fax machines with endless letters demanding to know why they are the ones funding this madness.

It’s like a battlefield strategy to cut off the Democrats’ supply chain: if we severe the money stream from large private donors, we can cripple the DNC.

It will be a lot of hard work. We certainly can’t do this alone. But, we all have fundraising experience here. We’ve been on statewide Finance Committees. We know how skittish donors are. These people don’t want to be noticed. They don’t want to hear from the public. They don’t want to be questioned about why they’re writing big checks that directly led to the people they support enacting the “nuclear option” of Reconciliation.

Hold the donors accountable.

Cut off the DNC’s funding.

Cripple the Leftists.

Save the country.

It could work, especially if only George Soros is left to fund DNC candidates! Even Soros doesn't possess enough funds to carry all the load! And with his ego and arrogance, he'll try to do it, thus breaking his own financial back!

The president and the members of Congress are our employees, aren't they? We elect them, we pay them through our taxes and they represent US in their jobs.

So why, in the name of all that is sensible, do they not listen to the overwhelming demand of the American people (their employers) that this offensively massive and cumbersome health care boondoggle be DROPPED and that they turn their attention to solving some other problems - like unemployment!

IS THE PRESIDENT OF THE
U.S. DEAF?

"We the People" have spoken and continue to speak - telling this incompetent boob that we don't want his freaking Health Care boondoggle. He continues to try to push it down our throats, apparently in the arrogant belief that he knows more about what is good for us than do We the People.

Less than 10% of Americans are without health insurance coverage (I'm not including the illegals because they get treated free at hospitals and that's only because we are a benevolent bunch of idiots in this country - and anyway - they ought to go back from whence they came!). Most of those people don't have it because they don't want it. Reform should not consist of shoving health coverage down the throats of those who are unwilling to be covered. That isn't the American way!

You want to reform health care? How about tort reform? How about making it absolutely illegal to deny coverage due to pre-existing conditions? How about encouraging competition by allowing insurance companies to sell across state lines? These are real and effective reforms and they don't involve saddling the American electorate (remember us - we VOTE?) with a bunch of crappy health care reform that WE DON'T WANT and WE DON'T NEED!

I suggest that should you continue to screw with us in this fashion, Mr. President, we will teach you a lesson you'll never forget, come Election Day 2010!
