WHAT YESTERDAY MEANT

When the Tea Party movement began about 18 months ago, the so-called "elite media" basically told them to "sit down and shut up" with Katie Couric famously calling us the "great unwashed middle" of the country!

But as Michael Goodwin writes in the New York Post:

Nothing short of a revolution. That's the only way to describe the public upheaval that took place yesterday. Nancy Pelosi has been fired, the Senate is far more balanced and President Obama was resoundingly rebuked. Republican governors could control upwards of 30 statehouses when the smoke clears. That's what you call a consequential election. As predicted, the explosion of government cost and the economic slump were the driving factors for voters. The results immediately reinvigorate the checks and balances inherent in the two-party system and bring a needed dose of fiscal sanity to Washington and the states.
It was evident from his news conference today that the President doesn't understand what happened yesterday. He still thinks he's in control of the world he sees around him. Unfortunately, he is afflicted with a severe case of reality myopia! The American people, for whom he works (this is the part he never understood - he works for US, not the other way around) resoundingly rejected all of the Obama agenda, particularly Obamacare. We rejected Barack Hussein Obama's administration and all its works. We rejected socialism. We rejected the manipulations of such as George Soros, Andy Stern, the SEIU and ACORN. We voted YES to American exceptionalism and we voted NO to apologizing for our country's magnificence.

Now let's get back to work and start to rebuild that which 20 months of a trifling popinjay have wrought!
THERE'S ALWAYS ONE

Idiot that slips through the cracks, that is!

Here's evidence of one:

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), who will have far-ranging subpoena power in the new Congress as a result of Tuesday’s election, is going out of his way to dispel perceptions that he’s a partisan bombthrower who plans to use his newfound authority to paralyze President Barack Obama’s administration.

“I want to prove the pundits wrong. My job is not to bring down the president. My job is to make the president a success,” Issa said on a midnight conference call with reporters, just after House Minority Leader John Boehner’s victory speech.

Rep. Issa - you may need to have your job responsibilities explained to you again! Your job is to represent your constituents in California! Perhaps John Boehner can explain that to you when he slaps you upside the head.

Moron.
BET YOU THOUGHT WE LIKED YOU!

As of 1/1/11 - a LOVELY date to be sure - we will no longer need to be subjected to the preening, overly botoxed and supremely self-satisfied face of Rep. Nancy Pelosi. Thanks be to G-d! You brought this on yourselves when you displayed your complete and utter disregard, even contempt for the voters who are your employers.

It is my great and very real fear, however, that John Boehner won't be a whole lot better. Granted, he's younger and better looking than Pelosi (by a LOT) and he currently seems to be hearing what the Tea Party and other Republicans are saying about growing down the size and intrusiveness of the Federal government, but in the end, will he really act on what he's hearing.

My feeling is that his fellow majority members will make sure that he behaves in the manner we expect from him.

Congratulations to all the winners. You've run the race and achieved your goal. Now let's see if you can govern!

SPEAKING OF IDIOTS . . .!

Teresa Heinz Kerry's poodle, Sen. John F. Kerry (D-Gigolo) has this to say:

BOSTON --Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry unleashed a broadside Thursday against Republican "obstructionism," saying the GOP and its talk-show allies have created a "period of know-nothingism" in the country.

With his party braced for defeats in the midterm elections, the 2004 Democratic presidential nominee told the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce that a Republican machine -- fueled by talk show hosts such as Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck -- has undermined progress and misled the public into believing Democrats created the country's current economic problems.

Kerry singled out attacks on an energy deal he was negotiating with Republicans, which fell apart amid criticism of an emissions-trading program. Some 20 Senate candidates are now opposing the proposed deal in their campaigns.

"It's absurd. We've lost our minds," said a clearly exasperated Kerry. "We're in a period of know-nothingism in the country, where truth and science and facts don't weigh in. It's all short-order, lowest common denominator, cheap-seat politics."

To underscore his claim, he said statistics show Republicans had blocked Senate business with filibuster tactics more during the past 18 months than the period between the end of World War I and the Apollo moon landing in 1969.

"The obstructionism is stunning," Kerry said, noting the country still lacks an assistant treasury secretary. "I think America really needs to know more of this kind of tactic and how it's shortchanging us."

If you and your moronic cohorts hadn't spent the past 18 months attempting to subvert the U.S. Constitution and ram unwanted, unnecessary and ultimately destructive legislation down our throats, you Dems wouldn't be in this pickle (pardon the pun).

"We the People" showed YOU, Senator, what we thought of you when you ran for president. And lost. Because we rejected your arrogant elitism and your fraudulent claims to some exceptionalism that you don't possess. We rejected your lies about our soldiers in Vietnam, we rejected your "Don't you know who I am?" condescension and your feckless, leftwing pandering. So here's a word of advice, Senator. Shut the hell up! You will be nothing more than a pimple on the ass of our nation's history when you have moved on to your dirt nap and nothing you can say or do will change that eventuality.
I WANT THIS!

bumper sticker for MY car...

And from Argus Hamilton (who used to provide the "end of the broadcast with Paul Harvey quips!") "President Obama met with union leaders at the White House Tuesday. They were event-planning. The thirty-three Chilean miners are coming to Washington this weekend to advise the Democrats on how to get out of the hole they find themselves in by Tuesday."

PLEASE PRAY FOR HARPER - AND HER FAMILY

This tiny little human is enduring suffering and pain that would demolish an adult. Please pray for her.

A miracle is too much to hope for at this time, but your prayers for less pain for Harper, and the strength for Amber and Ryan and their immediate families to get through this would be very much appreciated.

Harper's left eye has been affected by the cancer, and she can no longer close that eye.

Thursday Oct. 28, 2010
Written by harper's mother, amber:

It's been a rough week for Harper and all of us. Last friday night her pain began bothering her again. She was up most of the night tugging at her thigh and groin, only wanting to sleep in the floor. So that's where we've been every night since....crawling around the floor in pain. Her methadone and oxycodone doses have been increased multiple times yet barely provided minimal comfort. She is very good at distracting herself during the day, so each day we thought she may get better and be able to rest. Unfortunately this did not happen. Our hospice team and Childrens doc decided to put her on continuous morphine IV through her broviac. Our first pain med of choice was fentanyl but as luck would have it there is currently a nationwide shortage of it and we aren't able to get it for home care until Friday. The morphine drip was started yesterday at 8am at home, and by 3pm we realized were still going to have a tough time getting her pain controlled, so we were encouraged to take her Children's Hospital and get started on the Fentanyl. (Harper has had adverse reactions to morphine in the past as it makes her itchy, emotional, and very irritable so we didnt want to mess with it too much.)

We arrived yesterday around 5pm and were able to be directly admitted to 9W....no ER yay! (thank you Angie!!!!) We thought the fentanyl was going to be the answer, but along with the chain of events this week, it proved to only make things worse for Harper. As her pain continued, we continued to increase her dose only to max out the meds she was able to have and give her a terrible fit of itchiness and extreme distraught. She was given a drug to relieve those feelings as well as a nice dose of Ativan to help her calm down, and then we were able to get a room to ourselves to work out the pain control for the rest of the night. (thank you Selah!)

I think it was around 12-1am that we decided to start her on an-another narcotic- and begin the process again of figuring out the appropriate dose to ease her pain. At 2am she went in to respiratory distress due to the amount of narcotics and various drugs given to ease the pain and calm her. She was given yet another med to reverse the effects of the narcotics and bring her out of the distress. After what seemed like a very long time, she began breathing normally on her own and we were back to square one. The Dilantin was started once again and she seemed to get an hour or so rest in before she was ready for a bolus and an increase dose. That is the process for the early am......wake up in pain, get bolus, wait, another bolus, wait, increase dose, etc. Thanks to our AMAZING night nurse, Megan, for doing what you do so well! We are so blessed and fortunate to have such a caring staff on 9W that love and care for Harper.

We also had day 3 of radiation on her eye at 8am this morning. She is always sedated for this which made things a little scary given all of the narcotics and Ativan she was given. As usual, Harper came out like a champ and is now sleeping comfortably on Ryan's chest:) We plan to hang out here until we have a full nights rest with little to no pain.

Things are becoming more and more real each day of what exactly is happening to our baby. Her eye is huge, her pain is intense, and she is very exhausted ( as are we!). I can't even begin to explain the new insurmountable, extreme sadness we feel. Being back on 9W is bittersweet, a place of hope for us for so long and now a place of comfort as we most likely will not return (unless we have more pain issues). Many new children are on the floor yet a few of our old friends remain. When does it stop? Such a vicious cycle from one child to the next all rotating in and out of treatment.

Please, get out your A-game and pray that Harper's pain is controlled very soon and she is able to go and rest and enjoy her time once again! Pray that Ryan and I find a way to hang on by a thread and somehow get through this. Pray that our families do the same.

Thank you for any prayers you can offer up to God for this sweet little girl and her family. Anna Marie

CAUTIONARY TALE

This morning, I opened a bill from the endocrinologist's office that showed a balance due of $20 for my co-payment under my health insurance. Problem is, I was pretty sure I had paid the $20 when I showed up for my appointment.

I receive a daily statement online from my bank and I check it carefully every morning. I've been phished twice before and I've learned vigilance is a necessity. So I checked my report of the transactions from the date when I paid my co-pay to the doctor's office and sure enough, I had already paid the $20. Then I called the billing company for the provider and suggested they check their records. They did and eventually they agreed that indeed, I had already paid that $20 bill and didn't owe the doctor's office a thing!

Granted, it's only $20 but they add up. One of the reasons health care has become so expensive (Obamacare notwithstanding) is that fraud abounds and honest human error as well. So we must take responsibility for monitoring our own expenditures carefully to be sure none of that happens.

THIS JUST IN FROM THE HUBRIS DEPARTMENT!

Our president, The Lightbringer, has made a point of saying that when the Republicans (not if, mind you, WHEN) take over control of Congress, they will have to work with him!

Huh? It occurs to me that HE will have to work with US! Not the other way around. I'm just saying!
IT'S ALL PERCEPTION, BABY!

The left is busily and to some minor effect, attempting to paint The Tea Party as a bunch of right wing crazies, unintelligent, intolerant and generally worthless human beings. While we all know that they are full of excrement and fulminating cretins to boot, I think we need to spend a few minutes talking about what caused the Tea Party to blossom into the massive movement it has become and why it is a mindset that can be ignored only at your peril.

One of the things that I have found utterly frustrating over the past ten or so years is the intolerant and rancorous rhetoric being employed in the public discourse. I have always blamed it in part on the rise of James Carville, a man for whom I harbor neither liking nor respect. But I don't think I've been totally fair to the man. As a friend of mine here in Virginia would say "He jest talks thata way!" And where I'm going with this is, we need to stop judging each other.

In the first place, we've already been forewarned by The Judge of us all that we ought not judge, lest we ourselves be so judged. It's good advice and advice that should be heeded.

The new norm now is that if someone says something to you with which you don't agree, and if you are a person of the Left, your default position is to shriek and yell and denigrate that person until they either hit you upside the head, walk away or respond in kind. This accomplishes nothing. And freedom of speech cuts both ways.

I personally think that Joy Behar is a blithering idiot, but I respect and will defend her right to say whatever wrongheaded, crazy, bigoted thing she wants to say. Unfortunately, she does not afford the same consideration to others and that's where the problem lies.

This is the climate in which the Tea Party Movement flourished and rightly so. For a long time, we calmly went along until the elected officials in the current administration decided that "We the People" needed to be told what to do, when to do it and how to do it. We the People decided that the pinheads in Congress needed to get out of our way and let us be the people we have always been - resilient, capable, creative and hard-working, and above all, self-reliant. We made our feelings known to the Congress and the President and they decided to ignore or denigrate our beliefs, our preferred direction for our nation and our belief structure and life choices. Ergo, the current revolution (and make no mistake, that is precisely what the Tea Party Movement is accomplishing, a revolution).

The concern of some of us, sitting on the sidelines to some extent and examining what is happening out there, is that having achieved their aims, the Tea Party Movement will become complacent or neglectful of the revolution they have created, thus allowing it to stagnate and die. We must make certain that those who have replaced the Old Guard of fusty time-servers remember always who is the employer (us) and who is the employee (them). We must encourage them to have other job choices to which they will return and that public service is not now, nor should it ever be, a career choice. That wasn't what our Founding Fathers envisioned and it shouldn't be what happens today. Those who are elected must possess a spine. They must not go along with the possible choices of the old, failed candidates, the likes of Mitt Romney, Tim Pawlenty, and others of that ilk. We must bring new blood to the mix and a Sarah Palin candidacy should be encouraged.

The Old Guard of the Republican Party must be eased out - by force if necessary - so that nonsense such as what has happened to Tea Party candidates in this election cycle shall not and will not ever happen again. Christine O'Donnell may not have been THEIR choice, but she is OUR choice and thus should be supported. Perhaps, as many of us have done in this cycle, contributions should be made to specific candidates rather than to the national party. And we will not, for the President or anyone else, go to the back of the bus - now or ever!

JOY BEHAR - DESPERATELY IN NEED OF MEDS

Someone who cares about this woman needs to get her menopausal ass to a doctor and get her on some hormones. She reminds me of my sister who had a hysterectomy at age 35 and then proceeded to go through 4 jobs in 2 years. Her boss would come in, say "good morning", she would shout "I don't have to take that crap from you!" and march her happy self out the door. Finally a friend of ours advised her to see a doctor and get some hormones and she kept the next job for nearly 7 years!

If this over-the-top, vitriolic virago doesn't modify her behavior, she's going to be jobless and will take The View down with her - which in my book would be a good thing but nevertheless! Nobody should be harboring that level of bile and that depth of hatred for other human beings. It just isn't healthy for her and anyone who happens to be caught in the wake of her hateful spewing!

Surely Barbara Walters is making it clear to Ms. Behar that her rants are not amusing or productive! If Barbara Walters isn't doing so, then SHE is senile and needs to retire altogether and sooner rather than later!

UPDATE: Sharon Angle is nothing if not a class act. Today she sent Joy Behar a beautiful flower arrangement with a note thanking Joy Behar for the $150,000 the campaign has raised in the past 24 hours!

That should make Behar's head explode!
SHOULD THE AMERICAN FLAG BE BANNED ANYWHERE IN AMERICA?

Apparently there are some schools that are banning the display of the American flag in order to refrain from being "controversial" to which I say BULLSHIT!

Fox News has a poll up right now and you can vote by clicking on this link and voting. At the moment it's running 75% against banning the flag anywhere.

If you dislike this country so much that you are nervous or negative about the showing of the America flag, then you can just flat out get the hell out! We don't need you here and we don't want you take up valuable space and jobs from people who DO want to be here!

MAKING ME HAPPY BY ACCIDENT

C.J. the 12-year old tyro who cuts my grass when he can get his A.D.H.D. under control enough to stick to the schedule, came bolting over to my house last Saturday when he saw that I had friend Joyce's grandson Brandon helping me out around the house - specifically cleaning off the deck! Brandon was already done with his labors and we were relaxing for a few minutes - watching the OSU Buckeyes pound the life out of the Purdue Boilermakers 49-0! And a lovely pounding it was too! Anyway, C. J. came marching up to my front door wearing an Ohio State University sweatshirt which he claimed to hate and which I then informed him he'd better wear each and every Saturday for the rest of the year!

Poor kid. His family is so tight for money, the idea of college is a foreign concept to him. Thanks Lightbringer! Another family screwed over.
THE END IS NEAR

And it's time to start solidifying your intentions at the polling place. What I do not wish to hear is this "Well, I didn't vote because I wanted to teach the GOP a lesson!" No, you are obliged and required by your constitutional DUTY to vote. It's because you didn't vote (against the Hopey Changey disaster) that my sister hasn't worked for two years. It's because you didn't vote that a lot of people have lost their life's savings. It is YOUR doing that the country is in this pickle and it's high time you started to put your oar into the water and start rowing with the rest of us.

Just remember, SEIU and ACORN are both poised to institute all manner of chicanery after the polling places close. It's our job to make the tsunami of votes so enormous that they cannot jigger the election results no matter how crooked and manipulative they are!

THE INMATES ARE APPARENTLY IN CHARGE!

So CAIR - itself an organization that has been rumored to possess strong ties to Hamas and Hezbollah - objected to Juan Williams admitting that he experiences concerns when obviously Muslim people get onto an airline flight where he is a passenger. Well hell CAIR - I experience outright fear when I get onto a plane with apparent Muslims on board. Why wouldn't I, given the occurrences of 9/11/01? Do you think Americans are THAT stupid?

NPR with all the spine of a bowl of Jello responds to CAIR's complaint by firing Juan Williams, a man with whom I seldom agree but a man who is also less of a deranged pinhead than most liberals by a country mile! So much for freedom of expression, NPR. I hate to break it to you morons, but I'm a conservative and some small percentage of my tax dollar is going to support you! Bernie Goldberg, a former liberal and a reliable observer of the machinations of the so-called "legacy" media had this to say:

"So Juan Williams is fired for saying something the liberals at NPR find controversial?" Goldberg said. "One more piece of evidence that liberals have forgotten how to be liberal."

Goldberg continued: "These are the kind of people who brag about how open-minded they are -- as long as you agree with them. And here's the dirty little secret: lots and lots of liberals feel the same way Juan does when they get on an airplane. And a lot of those liberals work at NPR. Juan's 'crime' was saying it out loud."

Weekly Standard Editor and Fox contributor Bill Kristol also had some choice words for NPR, which he dubbed "National Politically-correct Radio." Kristol concluded a post about the firing by saying: "NPR -- unfair, unbalanced ... and afraid."

What a bunch of wussies!

UPDATE: In an excellent posting here at Flopping Aces, we are reminded that not too terribly long ago, Sarah Spitz at NPR said the following:

In a post to the list-serv Journolist, an online meeting place for liberal journalists, Spitz wrote that she would “Laugh loudly like a maniac and watch his eyes bug out” as Limbaugh writhed in torment.

In boasting that she would gleefully watch a man die in front of her eyes, Spitz seemed to shock even herself. “I never knew I had this much hate in me,” she wrote. “But he deserves it.”

Insofar as we are able to discern the facts, this hateful creature was never even chastised for her hate-filled speech! Liberals truly are insane and nasty!

UPDATE #2: This just in:

Fox News moved swiftly to turn the controversy over Juan Williams’s firing to its advantage, offering him an expanded role and a new three-year contract Thursday morning in a deal that amounts to nearly $2 million, Matea Gold reports.

Roger Ailes took a jab at NPR in the process.

"Juan has been a staunch defender of liberal viewpoints since his tenure began at Fox News in 1997,” he said in a statement. “He’s an honest man whose freedom of speech is protected by Fox News on a daily basis.”

And there you have it. NPR's stupidity works in favor of Juan Williams' pocketbook. And he is better off without those horrible knotheads!

I DON'T MEAN TO SOUND CYNICAL, BUT . . .!

The big stink over Bill O'Reilly's [accurate] comments on The View is being further fueled by no less than brainless Behar and Whoopi - both of whom apparently are still furious that they were made to look like the pinheaded morons they are on their own show. Behar seems to think that because she used to be a school teacher [and I've known about some truly brain-dead teachers] that she somehow has a lock on intelligence, which is emphatically NOT the case. She is a brainless idiot who regurgitates whatever leftwing talking points are fed to her. Whoopi has occasional moments of lucidity but Behar is just hopelessly dumb, immature and deranged as well!

Could it be that they are continuing to fuel this debate for the sake of ratings? I don't think O'Reilly could be the guilty party in this because his ratings are phenomenol, but The View could be in trouble. It ought to be. We ought to be boycotting this egrediously biased show that gives a voice to five (yes, Elizabeth as well) idiotic females!

IF IT ISN'T CLOSE, THEY CAN'T CHEAT!

Lest we forget, our Democratic brothers and sisters have a long history of "cooking" elections - or in other words, indulging in fraud.

The following in The Weekly Standard:
This attitude must change. Nixon to the contrary, it is not an honorable and decent thing to allow a hustler to take office on the basis of falsified returns. This election is crucial in one other sense apart from the obvious issues at state -- as a test of the electoral system. It is clear that the Dems will do whatever they have to do to maintain hegemony. What this means in practical terms is that any GOP victory of less than 1% -- and perhaps even higher -- is in danger. Nothing could be clearer. Michelle Obama's recent violation of election law in Chicago was in no way the cheerful faux pas that has been portrayed in the media, but instead a signal to party officials and the rank and file that anything goes.

As anyone who has been paying attention knows, Michelle Antoinette was cheerily electioneering, contrary to Illinois law, within the polling place. This activity, like the brazen behavior of the New Black Panthers in Philadelphia is unacceptable and should not be tolerated. We in the center or on the right need to be vigilant and not let the Stuart Smalley activities continue!

Don't allow it to be close. Don't assume that we're going to win. We need to win big so there's no excuse for them to finagle!
THERE'S NO GETTING AROUND IT

Congratulations to the University of Wisconsin at Madison for their defeat of the Ohio State Buckeyes at home last Saturday.

Breaks my heart to say it, but they so richly deserved the win!

See, I can be classy when I want to be!

AU REVOIR FAILED ONES!

PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN GLASS HOUSES

Who remembers then-candidate Barack Obama's campaign stop in Berlin (as in Germany - not New Hampshire) where there was a big poster printed in German?

Anyone?

Anyone?

People living in glass houses, Zippy, should lay off the stone throwing!

JOY BEHAR - PINHEAD AND IDIOT EXTRAORDINAIRE!

Despite being castigated by her own boss, Barbara Walters, as being "unprofessional" when she and Whoopi Goldberg first attempted to shout down O'Reilly, with whose opinion these two ditzy dames apparently disagreed, and then, with typical liberal adult behavior walked off the set of The View instead of staying and engaging in a reasoned and sensible debate with O'Reilly (who, by the way, I don't much like).

On her own show on HLN with Jesse Ventura, Ms. Behar objected again to O'Reilly saying that Muslims did the killing on 9/11. Joy, Joy, Joy - where were YOU on 9/11? Those weren't NORWEGIANS who hijacked 4 airliners and then flew them into buildings (or the ground of Pennsylvania), killing thousands of people and themselves. Those were Muslims you incredibly stupid oaf of a woman!

There are appropriate locations for the Mosque and less than a block from Ground Zero is not one of them. Let them build it somewhere further away from what is and should continue to be hallowed ground.

That's all Bill O'Reilly was trying to say. Yes, it's their right to build their freaking mosque. But WE DO HAVE A RIGHT to object to the location. WE have free speech as well you dim little twit!
WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE WIRING IN CHRIS MATTHEWS SO-CALLED BRAIN?

Here is what Mr. "Tingle down (or up) my leg" had to say on his show yesterday about the miraculous rescue of the Chilean mine workers:
CHRIS MATTHEWS: Okay let's talk about what the...message to a lot of the people was. The message coming out of the Tea Party people, and lot of them are good people, is every man for himself, basically. "No more taxes, no more government, no more everything. No more safety net. No more health care for everybody. Everybody just get out there, make your buck, save it, screw the government, move on." Right?
Mr. Matthews it must be a sad and lonely place in your head where the brains of normal people usually reside! In your case, it's just a hodgepodge of ridiculous liberal talking points and ill-considered prejudices. You and Joy Behar should move in together. She is as empty-headed and filled with bile and prejudice as you are!

To take an event as monumentally inspiring as the Chilean miners' rescue and use it willy-nilly for the making of some stupid, inconsequential and inaccurate point about the Tea Party movement (which apparently scares the living daylights out of Liberals because it's based on things like the Constitution, common sense and a belief in a Higher Power - things Liberals know little to nothing about) and also to try to curry favor with his betters and/or make himself look cool is nothing short of shameful and appallingly wrong.

Shame on you Chrissy Matthews. Shame on you and anyone who agrees with your moronic, ill-considered opinions.

WHEN WILL THE ADULTS TAKE CHARGE?

Barbara Walters basically said that her colleagues, Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg were absolutely wrong to walk off when Bill O'Reilly wouldn't back down during a discussion of the mosque at Ground Zero. She actually decried the shouting and illogical, emotional arguments being made by her two colleagues and particularly she decried the shouting.

Barbara, I hate to break this to you, but when you aren't there, they behave with this level of childish intolerance regularly!

It's what liberals do when they're losing an argument - get all emotional, all sanctimonious and upset and take their little toys and go home.

Most of us have progressed from the playground; lots of liberals never will!
DANCING WITH THE STARS - UPDATE

Finally, finally, finally - The Situation was eliminated and despite his appalling lack of ability, the lad seemed somewhat dazed by his rejection! Even angry!

Sitch - you cannot dance a lick. You didn't belong on that show and your nasty comments were out of line.

Apparently, all that effort at building up killer 6-pack abs failed to contemporaneously develop a killer 6-pack brain!

Buh-bye, Sitch. You will NOT be missed! Audrina Patridge apparently is under the impression that she is foreordained to win. No darling, you are not. You are minimally talented - at best - and while your performances so far have been adequate, you ain't no Jennifer Grey, nor will you ever be!
SENATOR JOHN CORNYN -
GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR BUTT!

In an effort to be even-handed in my scorn for the "traditionalists" on both sides of the aisle, I have a question for Senator John Cornyn who is in charge of parceling out the funding for various Republican candidates nationwide - what in the hell is wrong with you?

In the first damned place, Christine O'Donnell had to overcome the obstacles placed in her path by the national Republican Party when she was running for the nomination - because THEY (in their infinite stupidity) preferred her Republican opponent. Since when does this crap make any sense you dessicated morons? When I was growing up, back at the same time that you were probably still soiling your diapers, the rule of thumb was that the Party did not, under any circumstances, take sides in a primary election. But son of a gun, you idiots decided to do so! And it didn't work. So now you have Christine O'Donnell as your candidate and you've decided to take your marbles (money) and go home! NOT acceptable. You wonder why the Party is in trouble? Your boneheaded and obstinate refusal to recognize that "We the People" may know better than you entrenched mossy-brained lamebrains what this country needs!

In the second place, Christine O'Donnell's opponent is a perfectly appalling creature and a sitting duck if only Ms. O'Donnell had the support and money to take her down the home stretch to defeating him. As it is, Delaware will replace the horrendous Rosary Joe Biden with another seat-filler extraordinaire and we will be yet another vote short of a majority!

You bunch of troglodytes need to sit up, take notice and stop behaving this way! Michael Steele if you cannot move these stonehengelike idiots forward into the 21st century, then maybe YOU need to go also! And I had such high hopes for you too.

DICK DURBIN IS A FATUOUS OAF!

Senator Dick Durbin is calling for the IRS to investigate the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for illegal campaign donations.

Here's a better thought Senator - why doesn't the IRS investigate both the Chamber and your pal Barry Soetero's supporters (including and especially George Soros and his cabal of anti-American thugs) for illegalities.

Guess which one will bear poisoned fruit, Senator?

Tuesday, October 12, 2010

WELL WE DO IT - SO YOU MUST DO IT!

The White House in the person of Jumpin' Joe Biden, the most idiotic excuse for a vice president in my lifetime, is still pushing the farcical untruth that the U.S. Chamber of Commerce is funneling foreign donations to Republican campaigns nationwide. To this, the following rejoinder was delivered by no less than Charles Krauthammer, one of the smartest men in the country, speaking on Fox News: Krauthammer said.
“This thing just oozes of slime and innuendo, and it's McCarthyite. You make an accusation that the other side is using foreign funds. You don't have a shred of evidence and you answer, like Axelrod, 'Well, what's your evidence?' which is what McCarthy did. You'd raise suspicions about someone and the objective is not to actually make a case. It's to raise suspicions and leave them hanging out there."
The New York Times has even entered into the fray, smacking the Administration on the nose about this nonsense. When your own butt boys are chiding you for your mendacity, you need to know that you're way off base!

Does the name George Soros mean anything to you lying sacks of shit? This foreigner, a manipulator of other countries' currency, near-bankrupter of our longtime ally and friend Great Britain, is a major contributor to all things Left wing. THAT apparently is okay and the reason that the pusillanimous twits at the DNC think they can get away with their foul untruths!

NOVEMBER 2 - THE RUMOR MILL IS IN HIGH GEAR

There are a couple of narratives making the rounds these days (1) the Dems aren't worried about 11/2 because they plan to have The Boy King declare martial law and thus the expected deluge of Republican officeholders won't have a chance to happen; (2) the Dems aren't worried because they're in denial; (3) no matter what happens on November 2, the Dems have some nasty surprises for us during the lame duck session leading up to January 1 when the new (more intelligent, more conservative) Congress takes office.

Let's discuss these various potential scenarios one by one:

(1) Not even The Boy King would be so insane as to declare martial law, thus preventing the election on 11/2. The nation wouldn't stand for it and the Armed Forces would, justifiably, refuse to obey the orders! We have to have some faith in our fellow citizens folks, particularly we must depend on those of us who are steadfast, as well as willing and able to defend our Republic, our persons and our property.

(2) The Dems could be in denial. They've never struck me as being wrapped all that tightly, what with their BDS and PDS afflictions. They've never taken the Tea Party seriously and that could well be their biggest mistake!

(3) I don't think the weak willed, spineless dorks in the Republican Party who are currently members of Congress would be so foolish as to allow the nonsense that may be planned to take place. Even the soggy white bread, cucumber, mayo sandwich crowd can stave off the idiocy for 9 weeks or less! If they seem to be flagging in their efforts, we can remind them of their duty at the top of our lungs. Even the most idiotic Republican will hear better than any idiotic Dems in Congreses. And remember, there are some Republicans with cojones who can be counted upon to organize the nonsense-stopping activities! Thank goodness for Reps. Cantor, Boehner, Rob Wittman and others of their ilk!
OHIO STATE CLIMBS TO #1 IN THE COLLEGE FOOTBALL RANKINGS

And am I a happy girl or what? Saturday's 38-10 victory over Indiana was a splendid game and OSU's quarterback, Mr. Pryor, is astounding.

Coach Tressell is building and has built a solid and praiseworthy program that is a credit to the State of Ohio and all the OSU alumni!

And on top of everything else, there's the OSU Marching Band - justifiably honored for its spectacular abilities!

O - H - I - O!

THE SEXIEST MAN IN AMERICA!

No, it isn't Brad Pitt or one of those other overly groomed girlie-men.

That magnificent man, Gov. Chris Christie, today killed the controversial $8.7 billion Hudson River rail tunnel project. Why? Because, according to Gov. Christie, the State of New Jersey can’t afford it!

I find it amusing that everyone is stunned and excited by the fact that a state's governor has the cojones to deliver a straightforward answer when questioned about his reasoning. Too bad the governor of Massachusetts didn’t have the cojones possessed by Christie. Then the “Big Dig” wouldn’t have made Massachusetts the laughingstock of this nation!

CLASSY GUYS, VERY CLASSY!

Once again displaying the class and charm that endeared him to his constituents in the 70s, Jerry Brown and one of his campaign aides were overheard on a voicemail calling his opponent, Meg Whitman, a whore!

The howling from the NOW crowd is strangely absent! Double standard you unattractive bunch of hairy legged harpies?
SUDDENLY, OUT OF NOWHERE,
IT STARTS TO RAIN CRITIQUES

Poor Barack Obama. Seriously, I'm feeling slightly sorry for him this morning! After being told for over 2 years, more like 3 years, that he's the second coming of something or other, the best thing on the planet since arugula or sliced bread, and so forth and so on ad nauseum until he must just want to scream at the top of his lungs - oh wait, he is doing that! Screaming that it's all George W. Bush's fault and he tried to fix it but was surrounded by incompetents (Can you surround yourself, I wonder?) who had no clue how to fix things but he triiiiiiiiiieeeeed, really he did.

Bottom line, it's really all the fault of the pinheaded idiots who bought your line of bullshit and voted for you, Barack baby! There were plenty of people out there who knew doggone well that you would be nothing but a disaster.

I blame the people who decided to sit on their hands in November 2006 and 2008 in order to "teach the GOP a lesson" and have since (I hope) learned that they didn't teach a lesson, they provided the framework for the disaster that is Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi's congressional insanity and incompetence with the willing and eager acquiesence of the Boy King himself, in all his arrogance and thin skin!

Let's not look for the perfect conservative guys - let's hope that the Tea Party candidates are worthwhile and go on from there. I've been saying for 9 months that you can pick up a phone book and pick 535 names that would be at least as good and probably a whole lot better than the present crop of idiots!

I LOVE MY BANK

Not many people can - or will - say that, but in my case, it is sincerely meant! Because I can, I visit my account on the bank's website daily and check activity. It's my money, after all and I was at one time nearly the victim of attempted identity theft which my prompt attention to the matter helped to forestall.

Today, I discovered that my bank had accidentally charged my account TWICE for one check, a sizable check (over $1,000) which then put me into an overdrawn status and generated an additional $34 charge. I quickly called the bank and apprised them of this error and within 15 minutes of my telephone call I was notified by my bank that they had discovered the source of their error and had corrected it completely, thus returning my account to its normal state of solvency!

If you have a choice, bank at Woodforest National Bank. It can be found in many, if not all, Wal-Mart stores, has great hours (including Saturday and Sunday) and pleasant, cooperative, helpful people.

I love my bank!
REMEMBER NOVEMBER

If it isn't close, they cannot cheat. That's something else to remember. And then there's this.
NANCY PELOSI - IT MUST SUCK TO BE YOU!

When you became Speaker of the House of Representatives, you were overcome by an attack of terminal hubris and proclaimed yourself the most powerful woman in the world!

Today, Forbes magazine came out with a list of the 100 most powerful women in the world and the following women are considered to be more powerful than you:
Michelle Obama (I disagree)
Oprah
Lady GaGa
Hillary Clinton

And shortly, you will not longer hold your powerful Speakership because baby, you may be keeping your seat, but you sure as hell will be losing your majority status. And you have no-damn-body to blame but your own, arrogant, incompetent self!

Karma's a bitch, lady!

DANCING WITH THE STARS - UPDATE

Last night Margaret Cho was eliminated from the show but sore loser, whiny ass baby Michael Bolton was back subbing for Susan Boyle who was ill and unable to perform on the show as planned.

I have never been a fan of Michael Bolton - his singing is too much like mooing for my taste; too saccharine and turgid. And his behavior after being cut from the show made me think even less of him. Bruno gave an honest, if blunt, opinion of Michael's dancing skills which were nearly non-existent! And Michael Bolton has very little personal charm to offset his lack of physical abilities! Buh-bye sore loser!

Margaret Cho added nothing good to the show. She used to be funny but that day has passed. When I prefer a no-talent loser like The Situation to Margaret Cho, you know she's appalling.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - ROB WITTMAN (R-Va)

Rob Wittman was a conservative before it was "cool" to BE a conservative. He is one of the few Republicans in Congress at the moment who do not belong to the "soggy mayo sandwich" crowd described at HillBuzz. This is one good man and a good legislator and he deserves your vote. I know he'll have mine on November 2!

THESE PEOPLE JUST DON'T "GET IT" AT ALL

The following idiots are blaming us great unwashed peasants - stupid to the core and clinging to our guns and religion - for the problems they are having - at least according to the Associated Press article published today:

Democrats seeking to boost voter turnout this fall are beginning to sound like the late comedian Chris Farley's portrayal of a "motivational speaker" on Saturday Night Live. Farley's character sought to inspire young people by announcing that they wouldn't amount to "jack squat" and would someday be "living in a van down by the river."

The tea-party movement has emerged as a potent force in American politics and the center of gravity within the GOP, a new Wall Street Journal/NBC poll finds.

Massachusetts Senator John Kerry, who prefers sailing vessels to vans by the river, recently tried out the Farley method. Said Mr. Kerry, "We have an electorate that doesn't always pay that much attention to what's going on so people are influenced by a simple slogan rather than the facts or the truth or what's happening." Bay State voters are surely thrilled to be represented by a man so respectful of their concerns.

This week President Obama chimed in with another uplifting message about the American electorate. Mr. Obama told Rolling Stone that the tea party movement is financed and directed by "powerful, special-interest lobbies." But this doesn't mean that tea party groups are composed entirely of corporate puppets. Mr. Obama graciously implied that a small subset of the movement is simply motivated by bigotry.

The President said "there are probably some aspects of the Tea Party that are a little darker, that have to do with anti-immigrant sentiment or are troubled by what I represent as the President." The tea party is now supported by a third of the country in some polls.

Isn't it nice to know how much the President of the United States respects the people who employ him and pay his salary! You arrogant son-of-a-bitch! I cannot wait to vote you out of office in 2012!
AND NO, THE BOOS WERE NOT DIRECTED AT
SARAH PALIN!

It was viral yesterday, fed by the attentions of such luminaries as the clueless Perez Hilton (a despicable little person) - but the boos that occurred on Monday night right after the scores were delivered for Jennifer Grey and her partner Derek Hough were not directed at Mrs. Palin but rather were directed at the judges' scores! But then to those afflicted with Palin Derangement Syndrome (a mutation of Bush Derangement Syndrome), nothing - not even the video shown last night proving the fact - will be sufficient to shut up their lies!

Pinheads!

Meanwhile, Michael Bolton (deservedly) is gone from the show. Next it would be nice to see Margaret Cho and The Situation gone - but in the latter case, not really likely. Jersey Shores provides him with a HUGE fan base!
CLASSLESS, HATE-FILLED BUFFOONS

This is a video of a supporter of Democrat Ted Strickland pouring hot coffee down the back of an opponent's supporter during a rally.

Very classy behavior. Bet there's a sticker for SEIU on your dirty van, you moronic twit!

Prayers Requested

No I don't like him and I've been very candid in my views on the subject. Nonetheless, former President James Earl Carter has been hospitalized in Cleveland, Ohio and we should send a prayer heavenward for his swift recovery. His family loves him.
BUT THE NYT WEREN'T PENALIZED

Pinheads!

HERE IS SOMETHING TO WATCH THIS WEEKEND - MULTIPLE TIMES!

The sound of the Great Reagan's voice is enough to awaken you from your Dem-induced torpor and get your juices flowing. Just watch this and be inspired!

h/t Ben Howe and his brilliance
BONEHEADED DEM CHAIN EMAIL

I received today an email from an unknown source that read - in total - as follows:

We must vote on November 2, like our lives depend on it,because it does.

The Republican party has been hi-jacked by dangerous, radical hate mongers called the "Tea Party". They are led by Glen (sic) Beck and Sara Palin who's only goal is to take down President Obama and the government. In any third world country this would be called a "Coup de Etat". In America we fight "coups" at the ballot box. These people hate Blacks. They hate Latinos . They hate Muslims and have at times made many anti-Semitic statements. They hate Gays. They hate any moderate Republican who might be likely to cooperate with Obama.

Their rallying cry? "We want to take back our country!! Take it back from whom? American soil is still wet with the blood of our ancestors who fought for our right to vote. And vote we must!

The polls say Republicans are going to win enough votes to take over the senate and congress because Democrats lack the enthusiasm to vote. We must get as many people to the polls now as we did to vote for Obama. We don't need enthusiasm. We need to vote out fear. Fear that these radicals could take this country back to Jim Crow and the hey-day of the Klu-Klux-Klan. Don't think it could happen? Just stay home on election day and see what happens to this country.

Time is very short. Don't leave the voting to the other guy. Vote a straight Democratic ticket for your state: Governor,

and especially senator and congressman. Try to reach as many people as you can, like African drums across America.

Forward this E-mail to at least 15 people and please keep it going pretty much like a chain letter. We can't beak the chain or we may find ourselves in chains once more!!

There are so many lies and misrepresentations in this email I cannot even begin to refute each and every one of them. Of course, everything of which the Tea Party is accused is actually the kind of thing practiced by Democratic Party regulars. Clearly they need to be taught to spell, punctuate, THINK and generally write in a coherent fashion. They are so incredibly stupid that they don't even realize the depths of their ignorance! They are all around us and they Vote!
ANOTHER REASON TO LOVE GOV. CHRISTIE OF NEW JERSEY

Aside from the fact that he isn't as enthralled with those repulsive Jersey Shore cretins as the rest of the country seems to be, he is a gentleman and doesn't tolerate guff from anyone! We need more conservatives with Christie's brand of "stones"!

From the AP article:

Whitman was speaking onstage when a man in the audience began to yell, complaining about her refusal to take questions at the event. "What are you hiding? You're looking like Arnold [Schwarzenegger] in a dress," heckler Ed Buck shouted at Whitman.

Christie is known for his blunt, confrontational demeanor -- his past heated encounters have included run-ins with teachers, unions and journalists. So as the heckler was berating Whitman, the New Jersey governor approached him.

"You want to yell? Yell at me, but don't give her a hard time," Christie said into his microphone. But Christie didn't stop there: "It's people who raise their voices and yell and scream like you that are dividing this country," he said. "We're here to bring this country together, not divide it." The audience roared with cheers and applause.

Gov. Christie, I'd give serious consideration to moving to New Jersey. First Janet Evanovich and now you! To quote Martha Stewart: "It's a good thing!"

LORETTA SANCHEZ (D-CA) IS AN IDIOT

I'm no racist, nor am I xenophobic, nor am I any kind of bigot. But I have always disliked with a great deal of energy this radical racist bitch from California. It's my firm belief that her election was fraudulent from the outset.

I lived in California when she was elected to office. I remember standing in line at the polls waiting to vote. I also remember that none of the people in line ahead of me could even speak English - which said to me that they were very very fresh over the river and through the woods! And likely illegal.

Now Madame Sanchez comes up with racist crap wherein she attacks Van Tran, a Republican, as “anti-immigrant.” Sanchez was born in California; Tran was born in Vietnam, and immigrated to this country in 1975. For you young’uns, that was the year when, thanks to Democratic politics, the U.S. turned tail and ran, leaving hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese citizens at the mercy of the Communists. Go over to Bookworm Room to see the video clip.

It must suck to be a Democrat these days - every stinking stupid remark you make ends up on YouTube - frequently going viral!
DEMOCRATS CONTINUE TO BLAME EVERYONE BUT THEMSELVES FOR THEIR PREDICAMENT

On January 21, 2010, the Supreme Court ruled on the Citizens United case by which the Supreme Court affirmed that the First Amendment was violated by election laws interdicting campaign advertising by corporations in most instances. However, the advertising floodgates have not opened so much as the American people have seen - and quite clearly - the debacle being foisted upon us by the free-spending pinheads of the Democratic-controlled Congress.

Most of the advertising that irks Democrats was legal before Citizens United, and the plausible prospect of taking over one or both houses of Congress has energized Republicans, while Democrats are dispirited by the unpopularity of their party's policies.

Let's face it - it sucks to be a Democrat right now. For two years your party has had control of both houses of Congress AND the Presidency and while you've managed to ram through a lot of legislation, most of what you've done has been against the wishes of your employers - the American electorate.

You only have yourselves to blame for your potentially poor showing in the only Poll that counts - the one that will take place in November! Throw the bums out is the rallying cry of most Americans, Tea Party adherents or not.

And blaming George W. Bush for your predicament is the default position of whiney babies! You did your own silly selves in!

BOOKWORM ROOM MUST READ TODAY

Go to Bookworm Room and read the brilliantly written examination of why nouveau riche politicians are so anxious to prevent all the rest of us from achieving their level of success.
DELUSION - THY NAME IS NANCY PELOSI!

The absolute worst Speaker of the House in my memory (and I'm pretty doggone old) spoke thus on NPR this past weekend:

"First of all , I don't accept that premise [of a Republican landslide] in any way shape or form. The momentum is with us. We are out there to dispel many of the misrepresentations that have been going out there for nearly two years by the Republicans and the special interests, the oil industry, the health insurance industry, the banks and their allies.

We're out there. Our members are great articulate spokespersons for their point of view into their districts. And district by district we feel very confident about the election

And we believe that six weeks from today, six weeks from Wednesday of this week we will have no regrets but instead we will have a great Democratic victory"

What the hell is this dippy bitch smoking? If there is any valid reason to vote Republican, this harridan is chief among them! Vote Republican in November and get this botox poisoned wretched creature off the front pages for good!

THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY 43,
OHIO UNIVERSITY 7

This game on paper didn't figure to be a cliffhanger - and it wasn't. But it certainly gave OSU's quarterback Pryor the chance to sparkle and shine and the young man doesn't miss such an opportunity!

Great game, great victory, Buckeyes! Next up? Eastern Michigan. Hmmmm. Who set this schedule anyway?

DEFEATED CANDIDATES AND THEIR TANTRUMS

Enough already with the infantile behavior. Lisa Murkowski - you didn't really earn the seat in the first damned place so don't piss and moan because people are fed up with your poor performance in it. Joe Miller won, fair and square, and your tantrum is unbecoming a public servant and a member of the Republican Party. Same goes for Castle in Delaware.

Both of you idiots need to don your adult Depends and endorse the candidate that defeated you. It's "We the People" not "Me the Incumbent" that is in charge!

A CAUTION TO CONSERVATIVE CANDIDATES

I have noted, of late, a disturbing trend wherein conservative candidates are adopting many underhanded and despicable tactics formerly employed by Democrats in order to further their own candidates.

This is a trend that is manifestly wrong and should be rejected vocally by anyone who perceives this kind of activity.

Being a conservative means having some principles which I realize is a word unknown to La Pelosi and her merry band of crooks, cynical race baiters and the like.

We want to regain the power to balance the excesses of the Obama White House. In so doing, let us not abandon the high moral ground upon which we have always striven to stand. God won't thank us for being crooked Democrats-lite!
NEW DAY DAWNING

Looks like the geriatric leadership of the GOP is getting their bloomers in a bunch - and not a moment too soon. Their collective turgid stupidity has put this entire nation at risk and those of us who allowed them to get away with it for so long ought to have our fannies tanned! We, the People, only awakened when the horrendous consequences of the Obama presidency began to sink into our consciousness. We were somnolent enough to allow him to slip into office almost unopposed (with the old guard's pet candidate McCain to help him) and it was only McCain's choice of the effervescent and luminous Sarah Heath Palin as his running mate that energized the campaign.

I am 68 years old but I don't count myself as being one of that crowd of time-serving, sycophantic numbskulls who are running the GOP. I would hope I am hipper and smarter and a whole lot less contrived than that bunch!
REP. CASTLE - TIME TO GROW A PAIR!

Talk about a sore loser?! This from the Delaware idiot defeated by Christine O'Donnell:

Last Friday, four days before the primary, O'Donnell called Castle "unmanly" for filing an election law complaint against her, telling a radio show host that "this is not a bake-off, get your man-pants on."
She was right to tell him that and he is still whining and says six weeks isn't long enough to get over the assault on his dignity! What a big baby and thank goodness he didn't get the nomination if he has to sit and lick his paw for 6 weeks before the general election.

If you're going to call yourself a Republican, you big mewling asshole, then man up, endorse the candidate who defeated you, and get on with your life. You've been feeding at the public trough long enough!

ANN COULTER HITS ONE OUT OF THE PARK - AGAIN!

Read Ann's column on the Vanity Fair piece about Sarah Palin and the egotism and stupidity of its author who is, according to Ann's column, a certifiable nutcase! Read it here. Be prepared to laugh. Nobody can drain the hot air out of the pomposity of the left like Ann Coulter!
FURTHER MUSINGS ON THE LACKING IN ORIGINALITY "LEGACY MEDIA"

The same goofy and utterly banal blathering that accompanied Sarah Palin's entry onto the national stage is now being applied to Christine O'Donnell. "Emotionally unstable" and "unelectable". Really? This is a woman who just defeated the candidate who was considered the most popular office-holder in the state of Delaware! Unelectable? I think not.

Stay focused conservatives and make them eat their words! She may not be the dream candidate but then, who is?

ANSWER ME THIS QUESTION

Why is it that leftwing females find it necessary to look like they haven't bathed in days and haven't washed their hair or brushed their teeth in weeks.

Yes, Hillary Clinton, I'm speaking to you!

LOOK FAMILIAR?

This cartoon is from 1934!
G.O.P. LEADERS NEED TO LISTEN AND HEAR
WHAT IS BEING SAID

I have a dear friend who is so disheartened by the victory of the Tea Party candidate in Delaware that he has closed his yahoo account and withdrawn from participation in political affairs evermore. That's a sad commentary on what is happening out there in the political world and one I would like to address.

FIRST, she may be a disaster but she's OUR disaster and we must deal with it. Why not counsel and educate her and have such as Cantor or Ryan spend some time teaching her what she needs to know. Furthermore, she needs to own up to her flaws in public and with no equivocation.

I don't think EITHER choice in Delaware was a particularly good one since Castle was your typical RINO and hardly someone that espouses conservative principles - but then again either is an improvement on Biden. I have long believed that our current vice president is a blithering idiot.

SECOND, while there are many problems with the current candidate - manifestly pointed out by no less than Karl Rove on Hannity last night - she is, nevertheless, our ticket to the seat. Ergo, the GOP's threat to not FUND the woman is asinine and petulant stupidity.

THIRD, if the Tea Party Express wants to be and remain a viable force in American politics, it must begin to choose and select candidates more carefully in advance and the GOP establishment needs to put on its big boy/girl panties and support those selected.

Here's the deal, as I see it, based on over 50 years of involvement in party politics, starting with the first Eisenhower campaign: The established GOP had, prior to the Tea Party Movement, completely lost its way. There was, essentially, no difference between the two parties. Both were spending out of control and both were involved in the passing of un-American (at best) legislation that was pissing off the people who put them in office. Which of course, gave rise to the Tea Party movement in the first place. The American people (who do, after all, pay the bills) were fed up and didn't want to be ignored any longer. And that is a mistake BOTH parties were and are still making.

Given that the Tea Party Express now has some traction and leverage, they have an equal responsibility to vet their endorsed candidates thoroughly and unapologetically.

Anyone who has consistently read my blog knows that I have often berated the Republicans in the House and the Senate for their spineless behavior. After the first euphoria of winning the majority had passed, it was almost as if they were apologetic for having the power to reshape the narrative. They were groveling for the Democrats to love them and that was - realistically - never going to happen. I have often said that bullies can be made to respect you but expecting them to love you is a fool's errand!

So let's quit throwing recriminations and accusations around at each other my fellow Republicans. The national Party needs to grow a pair and start behaving with leadership and integrity. The Tea Party Movement needs to stop behaving like a bunch of euphoric little kids and start accepting their ADULT responsibilities as well.

At the age of 68, I've achieved a certain degree of goofy wisdom. I don't think the Dems are going to control a damned thing after November but I do think that we need to develop and refine our message more clearly and more honestly and the national GOP needs to realize that they aren't going to live forever, they have made some serious mistakes and it's time for new blood to start affecting the outcome of things.

UPDATE: According to Drudge Report, contributions are flowing into the O'Donnell campaign so quickly that her website has crashed! Sounds like she doesn't need the national GOP contribution!

UPDATE #2: It appears that Laura Ingraham agrees with my assessment of Karl Rove's pessimism. And then, from that irritating soon-to-be-ex House Speaker Nancy Pelosi:

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) cheered the Tea Party victories in Tuesday’s Republican primaries, saying the results were “very positive” for Democrats. “What happened for Democrats last night was very positive,”

Pelosi told reporters after addressing the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation at the Capitol Wednesday morning. “We were very pleased with the candidates that we drew, and they offer a great contrast in the election as to the clarity of the choice.”
UPDATE #3: Craig Ferguson: "It's a great day for members of the Tea Party. ... In Delaware, in the Senate race, Tea Party candidate Christine O'Donnell defeated a Republican. ... Democrats are already attacking O'Donnell. They're calling her 'the Sarah Palin of the East.' Really? She's a loud, emotionally unstable woman from Delaware. That's not Sarah Palin. That's Joe Biden."

MUSINGS WHILST ON VACATION

I was on vacation last week and spent a lot of the time relaxing in front of the TV set with Rusty, my favorite unapologetic predator, on my lap. Buddy has reserved the back of my recliner for his own perch and so it went in the world of Mom and the two pussycats! At one point Nancy Pelosi was screaching away about something or other - which so disturbed my Rusty that he jumped off my lap and ran to hide under the end table by the window. Buddy remained unfazed, as he generally does.

Watched Sunrise at Campobello, a heavily fictionalized rendering of the story of Franklin D. Roosevelt and Eleanor from before his bout with polio and thereafter with the always fascinating Hume Cronyn playing Louis Howe. Greer Garson played Eleanor Roosevelt (looking far better than Eleanor Roosevelt ever could have hoped to look) and Ralph Bellamy, as FDR. Regardless of how you feel about FDR's presidency - and I'm in the category that believes he was a disaster unequaled until the Hick from Georgia and The Boy King's recent election - I had never really given much thought to the obstacles and the sheer WILL that drove the man. Comparing FDR in my mind with the cretin occupying the White House right now and FDR was a giant by comparison.

Perhaps President Obama would have worn better on the American populace if he had had the humility and good grace to be less visible. The more you see of him and the more you hear his condescending and hectoring rhetoric, the more you dislike this somewhat horrendous choice made by someone (I didn't vote for the s.o.b. and don't know anyone who did.). Since I work in the District, within a few blocks of the White House, I have observed first hand the incredibly arrogant way in which our President has caused the already horrid traffic to be further complicated willy-nilly in a way George W. Bush never seemed to. It's just one small sign of the man's mindset. Which is supercilious arrogance toward the peasants he thinks he rules. As if!

OHIO STATE BEATS THE MIAMI HURRICANES!

Ms. McCain - SHUT YOUR STUPID PIE HOLE!

Senator John McCain has a homegrown problem - his daughter Meghan! Aside from the fact that she has the IQ of a house plant, she is a famewhore of major proportions.

Ms. McCain - have you ever achieved anything worthwhile on your own or is your notoriety only the result of being born to a famous father and an overindulgent mother? I would say likewise for Bristol Palin (just by the way). Ms. McCain whose education is sketchy at best, has been plopping her dumbass self on various leftwing talk shows to diss Gov. Sarah Palin who, on her worst day, is 10 times the woman that Ms. McCain will EVER be.

Just shut the fuck up Meghan. You are an idiot and an embarrassment. I know the Republican Party is a "big tent" but it isn't big enough to accommodate your ego and your stupidity! You truly are not terribly bright.

OH SHERIFF JOE, NO YOU DIDN'T!

Attorney General Eric Holder's Justice Department is once again proving its rank stupidity by filing a lawsuit against Sheriff Joe Arapaio. Just before the lawsuit was filed, it seems that the good sheriff, being somewhat smarter than a fifth grader, via his attorneys, filed a FOIA request to ICE and got their report on their review of his department.

Guess what? According to an article in the Washington Examiner written by Byron York, Maricopa County's Sheriff's Department passed with flying colors on all fronts!

Here's just a snippet of the article:

New evidence undermines feds' case against Arizona

By: Byron York
Chief Political Correspondent
September 2, 2010

You've heard a lot about the Justice Department's lawsuit to stop the new Arizona immigration law. But that's just one part of the Obama administration's multi-front war on immigration enforcement in Arizona.

In addition to the drive to kill the new law, Attorney General Eric Holder is also suing the Maricopa Community College system in Phoenix, alleging it broke the law by requiring a job seeker to provide a green card before being hired. And on Thursday the Justice Department filed suit against the Maricopa County Sheriff's office, run by the flamboyant Joe Arpaio, as part of an extended investigation into alleged civil rights violations there.

Despite the splash of attention from the newest lawsuit, the Justice Department's investigation of Arpaio could end badly for Holder. When the Department first informed Arpaio that a probe was under way, back in March 2009, it sent a letter saying the investigation would focus on "alleged patterns or practices of discriminatory police practices and unconstitutional searches and seizures." But now we learn that just six months before that, in September 2008, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, known as ICE, did its own investigation of Arpaio's office -- and gave it a clean bill of health. Arpaio's lawyers recently got a copy of the ICE report through the Freedom of Information Act.

ICE officials evaluated how the sheriff's office performed under a law that allows specially trained local law enforcement officers to enforce parts of federal immigration law. The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, which is the largest sheriff's office in the Arizona, has 189 officers who have been trained by ICE to enforce federal immigration statutes.

Is that egg on your face Mr. Holder? Are you embarrassed yet? Are you ready to resign? If not, your impeachment may be arranged or else it's entirely possible that you will find your incompetent bigoted ass under the same bus where Rev. Jeremiah Wright found himself, along with a lot of other people who have embarrassed your boss - The Boy King!

Tsk, tsk, tsk!

AND SO IT BEGINS

Tomorrow night at 7:30 p.m. on the Big Ten Network, Ohio State will embark upon its quest for yet another National Championship against Marshall in the 'Shoe!

It should be a terrific game and you can be assured that the Buckeyes will not in any way underestimate the skill and commitment of any of its opponents this season. Jim Tressell is not in the habit of permitting his players to be smug, arrogant or lazy - on or off the field. That is why I admire the program so very much.

I am a proud alum of The Ohio State University (and UCLA and Pepperdine - I love going to school) and will be watching the coming season with great enjoyment and anticipation!

GO BUCKS!
