DID HE FALL OR WAS HE PUSHED?

Keith Olbermann, the visibly demented MSNBC commentator (in my opinion) announced on Friday night that this was his last night on the air for MSNBC. Who knows whether his low (beyond low) ratings were the cause or whether even MSNBC couldn't stomach his nonsense any longer - but my opinion is that the civility of the airwaves took a quantum leap upward due to his departure. I find it very difficult to believe that he resigned of his own accord, unless they told him to tone down his bile and he refused.

His two fans are the only ones who will miss him. Buh bye!

UPDATE: Some delusional wag out there has put forth the demented notion that Olbermann should run for the seat of the retiring Independent Joe Lieberman in Connecticut. If that is not the absolute worst idea put forth in any political arena, it's right there with the daffiest, most offensive and irrelevant suggestions anyone has uttered. Keith Olbermann isn't qualified to run a chewing gum concession at the local little league park, let alone hold down a seat in the Senate. Mere celebrity isn't a qualification. The ability to reason and think clearly IS necessary and Olbermann fails utterly in that regard.

Why let a some strongly verifiable facts get in the way of a good shuck and jive routine folks? Al Gore and his confreres are making a bloody fortune over their ridiculous global warming scam! It's barely 70 degrees outside and yet Gore and his pals are running around screaming "The sky is falling, the sky is falling!" for all the world like a demented chicken. Natural gas supplies are up. Winter is soon upon us. Daylight savings time hasn't ended (I WANT my hour back) but when it does, we'll be moving into the official start of winter.

A "reliable source" has even made what I consider to be the most awesomely stupid remark of all time when that person said that the current lowered temperatures are exacerbating global warming! Huh? Really? Naw.........!

Not content with opining that we poor humans are powerful enough to effect the warming of the entire planet, now we are being told that laughing gas is contributing to problems with the ozone layer protecting Earth. Poppycock!

I think the true threat to our planet is from these bloviating morons who continue to believe that we can "fix" whatever they perceive is wrong with our planet when we are unable to do anything to prevent earthquakes, major storms, hurricanes, blizzards and so forth. We are but tiny little antlike creatures in the vastness of space. We've got no negative mojo against the natural, utterly normal and cyclical changes in the planet we inhabit! These so-called scientists create artificial panics for their own benefit and to give themselves something to justify their existence as scientists - when they could actually be learning HONEST science and operating from that base!
