BYRON YORK REPORTING IN THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER 3/31/09
. . in a little-noticed move, the House Financial Services Committee, led by chairman Barney Frank, has approved a measure that would, in some key ways, go beyond the most draconian features of the original AIG bill. The new legislation, the "Pay for Performance Act of 2009," would impose government controls on the pay of all employees -- not just top executives -- of companies that have received a capital investment from the U.S. government. It would, like the tax measure, be retroactive, changing the terms of compensation agreements already in place. And it would give Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner extraordinary power to determine the pay of thousands of employees of American companies.

That dimwitted old fart Barney Frank has come up with yet another seriously bad idea – controlling the compensation of employees of companies receiving bailout funds. I can guarantee you that this will not include voiding sweetheart deals the unions have negotiated with the automotive giants. And it is totally unconstitutional. How is it that this ethically challenged lying sack of merde even got elected to Congress and how does he keep his seat? He was largely responsible for pushing bank into making risky mortgage loans to unqualified borrowers thus precipitating the mortgage and banking crisis that the Obama administration is using as a wedge into nationalizing many American businesses.

WORLD FIGURE SKATING CHAMPIONSHIPS - LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA

Finish positions:Men's champion - Evan Lysacek, Los Angeles, California
pairs champion - Aliona Savchenko and Robin Szolkowy of Germany
women's champion - Kim Yu Na of South Korea
ice dancing - Oksana Domnina and Maxim Shabolin

EVAN LYSACEK delivered a championship performance filled with technical difficulty and total commitment and passion for what he was doing. Savchenko and Szolkowy were, as always, pristine and precise in their skating and deserved to win. Kim Yu Na was exquisite and record breaking in her short and long programs - scoring high enough in both to give her a first place ranking over Joannie Rochette of Canada and Mao Asada of Japan. I've never cared much for Mao Asada - she strikes me as being a self-involved brat. Hustling all over the ice without much grace or choreography busily scurrying from one big jumping pass to the next. This jumped up to bite her on her butt when she screwed up a triple axel and fell on her fundament rather sloppily and destroyed any chances she might have had to win the competition. Kim Yu Na is a beautiful skater with exceptional technique and a a total love of her sport with complete musicality My predictions for the final standings at the upcoming Olympics: Belbin &Agosto (gold), Kim Yu Na (gold), Savchenko & Szolkowy (gold), Lysaccek/Weir (gold). B&A are lyrical and light in their approach with exceptional technique whereas Domnina and Shabolin are both very heavy and lumbering in their performance and his conditioning is poor, leaving him unable to finish their long program with breath o spare. He is puffing like an overweight elderly steam engine at the end of the program and the poor conditiioning from which he suffers leads to small slopppy errors that detract from the overall effect of their intricate programs. Russian skaters are known for not practicing their programs start-to-finish which affects negatively the stamina and this is evident in Domnina and Shabolin's heavy and uninteresting skating. They seem to feel that glowering and grimacing facial expressions can disguise how poorly conditioned they really are. Not so.

The French pair were delightful in the ice dance choosing a circus theme which they skated with full attention to detail and a sense of fun missing from most other offerings in that portion of the competition. Nathalie Pechalat and Fabian Bourzat took a big chance in designing their program with a circus theme and backed up their risk with intricate footwork and holds and a sense of joy in the performance of their program. Good fun and I'm no fan of French figure skating.

INVOLUNTARY "VOLUNTARY" SERVICE?

When even the San Francisco Examiner expresses doubts about a bill that has passed the U.S. Congress, shouldn't we be just a trifle concerned? In an editorial dated 3/26/09 the S.F. Examiner discusses a radical new expansion of the AmeriCorps program, to the tune of $5.7 billion dollars. But this isn't what worries the paper most. No, what concerns them is the language calling for consideration of “a workable, fair and reasonable mandatory service requirement for all able young people.” It anticipates the possibility of requiring “all individuals in the United States” to perform such service, including elementary school students.

Remember during the 2004 campaign when John "Le Fraude" Kerry kept babbling that George W. Bush would reinstate the national military draft? Guess what kids, here it comes - and it's your precious Usurper who is behind this stupidity!

Did any of you congressional idiots have the slightest notion of what you were voting for? All you Republicans who voted to make this infamy the law of the land, you do realize that you will be answering for this nonsense in 2010 at the ballot box, don't you? Count on it.

It's past time for us to TAKE BACK AMERICA from the hands of the Left Wing loons who wish our beautiful nation only disaster and pain.

P.S. Did you note today that George Soros is bragging about making money from all the current turmoil? But then, that's what your huge investment in getting that pinhead infant elected was all about, wasn't it George? George Soros is a malignant maggot eating away at every traditional value that made our country great!

ORGANIZING FOR AMERICA - A "NEW" INITIATIVE
BY THE USURPER

Coming to your front door or the front of your supermarket soon - Obama Zombies campaigning for your pledge to support the Usurper's proposed new agenda for America. These Kool-Aid swilling nincompoops will be (a) collecting personal information about you, and (b) asking you to do likewise vis-a-vis your neighbors.

The tune of the "the Horst Wessel Song" is echoing through my head; why is that?

In the immortal words of Nancy Reagan, "Just say no!". Or - you could ask them to come inside and pray with you. Either one will work.

WELL SPOKEN, WELL SAID

Eric at Tygrrrr Express says it best: The bad news has got to stop, or at least slow down. The bleeding has got to stop. We desperately need to feel good again. We need to feel a sense of hope. We need good things to happen. The bad stuff will never stop, but at least let it take a break.

UPDATE: Has anybody told the Usurper that he isn't running for office any more? Someone needs to make it clear that now he needs to plant his skinny ass in his office and actually make an attempt, even if only a feeble one, to govern?

I'M GLAD I'M OVER 65!

The political discourse in this nation has reached the lowest level of civility I've seen in my entire lifetime, which only makes me happy that whatever time remains to me is a great deal more brief than what is behind me. Yep, that's how perky The Usurper's reign is making me feel.

But let's talk about Republicans. It is apparent that way too many Republicans have failed to learn the lessons of 2006 and 2008! Already the "eat our own" idiots are hard at work trying to promote THEIR presidential candidates for 2012, all the while dissing those they perceive as a viable threat, such possible candidates as the excellent Sarah Palin who may or may not be interested in running at that time.

Chief among those already jockeying to position themselves for 2012 (apparently the 2010 election matters not one jot to these morons) are the Ron Paul afficianados. Hey, dopey Paulmaniacs, your candidate didn't make a ripple in 2008; why would we want to revisit that disaster? Regardless of that, priorities of far too many well known Republicans are seriously screwed up.

So a reminder. There is an election in 2010. It is a crucial election if we hope to restrain the Botox Princess, Senator Cadaver and all their like-minded lunatics from running our country irretrievably into the ground. So quit spending your time, energy and money on dissing other Republicans and put some energy into replacing a LOT of Democratic members of the House of Representatives and however many Democrats (Senator Cadaver's head is on the chopping block in Nevada - good place to spend your febrile energies I would think!) are vulnerable. Dear Lord, do we elders have to teach you to walk and chew gum simultaneously!?

Remember the golden rule: He may be a son-of-a-bitch, but he's OUR son-of-a-bitch!

THIS IS STARTING TO FREAK ME OUT!

Seriously, have you noticed how many of our Presidents are left-handed? Even the Usurper! What's up with that. I'm left-handed! Should I be President? Naw - I'm too freaking blunt for that. I'm not diplomatic enough. They thought GWB was a cowboy? Hah! I'm like hitting a block wall at 90 miles an hour.

A former (now deceased and it had nothing to do with me) boss once wrote on a letter of recommendation: If you don't want a straight answer, don't ask Gayle the question! I'd have us at war with everyone except Great Britain, Israel, Australia and some former Soviet "republics". Of course, I can deliver full sentences without the aid of a teleprompter. I have small, close set ears. Have we had any redheads in office since Thomas Jefferson? Hmmmm! Naw, I'm too damned old to run.

But I AM left-handed! And I'm told I give great gift! Prime Minister Brown would have gone home with something really, really nice after visiting ME. His wife too. Chintzy I am not.
THERE ARE TIMES WHEN A UNION IS A WONDERFUL THING!

I work in Washington, D.C. I work at a law firm. Almost all of my friends work for law firms. And as conservative as I am, there are days (and this is one of them) when I thank my lucky stars that, because of the clients they serve, the law firm for which I work is a union shop - the only one in town! The mere 6 secretaries and 10 paralegals are protected from the whims of attorneys and the possible lack of logic emanating from a human resources department, not to mention the selfish, self-motivated actions of fellow employees. Consequently, this is a very relaxed and productive place to work! We love our jobs and it shows in our commitment to excellence. Who knew? This isn't the normal reaction to being a union member, perhaps, but it's our reaction!

Making baseless charges against another human being, charges that threaten their livelihood (especially in a market such as this one) is about as despicable as a human being can get. Charging someone I love with - of all things - racism, is beyond low and justifiably has ignited my ire toward these two females that is visceral beyond belief. You do not, ever or with impunity, hurt someone I love - most notably, my sister. That I harbor ill will is putting it mildly. That I am trying to be Christian about this most un-Christian of situations is true - but the effort is stupendous. Why were these charges made? Because two simpering, evil wenches decided that my sister is a threat to their self-esteem.

As often as I have told myself, today, that karma will deal with these two scrofulous, venom and evil possessed crones, it hasn't helped a lot. However, I do believe that this kind of base dealing will eventually catch up with them. In the meantime, my sister needs my love and support and she will get it in abundance!

R.I.P. - GONE TOO SOON!

An immensely talented and beautiful woman left our world yesterday. She was a wife, a mother of two adolescent sons, an actress of enormous range and ability. At the age of only 45, due to a stupid skiing accident, gone from those who loved her and those who admired her from afar. The first time I saw her in a film, I was prepared to dislike her, primarily because I so dislike her mother. I couldn't. Her luminous performance in "The Parent Trap" was too irresistible. Somehow you could sense a joyous and utterly lovely soul behind the actress. May God protect and comfort her grieving husband and children, mother (no mother - not even the despicable Vanessa Redgrave - deserves to bury a child), aunts, uncles and all who loved her.

Rest in peace beautiful lady!

THE POPE AND THE CONDOM CONTROVERSY

The excellent Benedict has ignited a firestorm of criticism because of his comments that condoms may, rather than impeding the spread of HIV, AIDS and other STDs, actually be encouraging their spread. From the standpoint of Catholic doctrine, the Pope is absolutely right. Abstinence is the only surefire way to prevent unwanted pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases of all kinds. It also prevents the need for abortions, which is likewise absolutely forbidden by the Catholic Church. Condoms can fail and many men (and women) are either ridiculously cavalier about their use or just plain stupid in believing that "it cannot happen to me" - when it clearly can. Else how to explain all the unplanned pregnancies. I've never understood why anyone sane would have unprotected sex. I still don't!

Abstinence is also an excellent builder of self-esteem for the single person, since the Church expects those who seriously consider themselves Catholics to abstain from sexual relations except within the marriage bond. And promiscuity is not a lifestyle that leads a person to a good self image. Been there, done that, didn't benefit from it!

I realize that people of different (or no) faiths may not think that way. That is, however, no reason for the Pope to restrain his teachings to the Catholic faithful in order to spare the feelings of believers in other religions. It is also wholly inappropriate AND outrageous for anyone who is not Catholic to dare to criticize this pronouncement or to tell the Pope how to interpret the laws of the Catholic Church! How dare you?

Here's your yardstick. If a Muslim cleric made precisely the same pronouncement, would you have the effrontery to run your big stupid mouth? No, you wouldn't dare. How then is your babbling okay when Catholics are involved? Answer: It isn't!

Problem solved.

THE CANADIANS SEE THINGS MORE CLEARLY THAN A LOT OF AMERICANS . . . AND THIS ISN'T THE FIRST TIME!

Writing in the Canada Free Press, Alan Caruba opines as follows:

Obama may be our first President with Attention Deficit Disorder. He went from declaring we faced an economic “catastrophe” to saying the economy was still strong in just over a month. Maybe that accounts for his dependence on the TelePrompter which, we’re told, goes everywhere he does.

We’re watching an already long list of fatally flawed decisions and I suggest that we are looking at a combination of his socialist ideology, his youth and inexperience, and a narcissism that cannot tolerate criticism no matter its source.

His greatest support comes from a younger generation of Americans with virtually no knowledge of the nation’s history, no grasp of the economic issues affecting it, and no more political insight than to rely on “hope and change” without understanding that these are not, nor ever were sufficient to the task of being in charge of a great nation with great challenges.

Politically, emotionally, and intellectually, Barack Hussein Obama is a child. This has become increasingly evident with every passing day.

By Alan Caruba Tuesday, March 17, 2009

Canada Free Press
The presidency is less than 2 months old and already the bloom is well and truly off the rose even with many who, idiotically, initially supported him. Can I ask a really dumb question - what were the 53 million who voted for this disaster thinking - or were they just "feeling" their way through the election process, drunk on promises of "hope and change" - in other words, promises of . . . nothing at all!

So what do we do now?

I'll tell you one thing. Tea Parties are going on all over the country, even to my astonishment in what is normally a Dem stronghold, Cincinnati, Ohio! And they had one of the largest turnouts! Ah my Midwestern brothers and sisters, a practical and level headed lot, despite the occasional sips of Kool Aid. We need to start finding and grooming good, solid, morality based candidates (and don't wait for the Republican Party to do it nationwide - do it yourself, locally) and get them to run for the Senate and House in 2010 wherever possible. That is the surest way to put the brakes on the "usurper" in chief!

I emphasize - do not rely on the local or national Republican Parties to do this job. Start poking around yourself. You'd be surprised at the treasures you'll uncover.

Finally, a word of chastisement to the nationwide and state Republican organizations: GET OFF YOUR DEAD ASSES, QUIT FIGHTING AMONGST YOURSELVES AND START REMEMBERING WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A REPUBLICAN YOU FREAKING SHIT-FOR-BRAINS LOSERS! Already in Virginia, the State chairman, who was elected BY THE MEMBERSHIP, is being challenged by the Old Guard! Why? Bottom line - because they didn't pick him. Like I give a particular damn about that! The Republican Party belongs to the MEMBERS you moronic twits - not the former power structure which has gotten us into such a dismal place nationally!

He may be a son-of-a-bitch, but if he's OUR s.o.b., support him and keep your big mouth shut! Listen to the advice of Rush. Listen to Newt. Support Michael Steele and make sure he has his ears open and his mouth shut for a little while. Doing business as usual isn't going to clear up this mess. Trying something outrageous may well accomplish what the same-old-same-old won't!

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU ASK FOR!

AIG took a boatload of money from the Federal government to bail them out of a self-created (with the help of George Soros, no doubt) financial morass! Now they're paying bonuses to various executives, claiming they are contractually obligated to do so. Really? How does that work AIG? Doesn't the company have to make a profit? Isn't a bonus a reward for GOOD performance? This is such horse manure that I'm surprised there aren't steaming piles all over Capitol Hill and Manhattan!

Of course, President Obama, continuing in the dangerous vein of interfering in the business of privately held companies on the basis (fairly well justified, to be sure) that the U.S. taxpayer has invested mightily in the private business and is entitled to tell them when they're behaving irresponsibly. You think?

But the comment du jour has to be this one from Rep. Barney Frank, financial wizard extraordinaire (without whose contribution we wouldn't be in this financial kerfuffle at all):

Rep. Barney Frank, chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, earlier Monday charged that the move to pay bonuses amounted to "rewarding incompetence."

That's exactly what we do every time we issue YOU a paycheck Rep. Frank!
DIALOGUE IS A TWO-WAY STREET

I understand that the ability to actually listen to what someone else is saying is a very rare and precious commodity in this world of ours, for reasons that occasionally escape me. That being said, we all need to work on rediscovering this important skill set if we are to make a difference in our nation in the coming days, weeks and years. The threat is real and only by recognizing it fully, in all its various permutations, can we defeat it.

First, let's dispose of one myth. Our new president is not even the slightest bit interested in dialogue with the right side of the spectrum. His response is "I won!" which is about as infantile a statement as I have ever heard.

President Barack Obama is (and to his credit(?) he has stated this clearly) not the slightest bit interested in what the "great unwashed" believe or think. This is stupidity on his part, but hey, it's his choice! Any man who would sign an executive order allowing embryonic stem cell research on one day and two days later sign a bill passed by Congress that forbids the practice, isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer. In fact, a butter knife would probably be sharper!

If you disagree with a person on the left, the general response is hysteria, followed by name calling and vituperation. This, children, is NOT dialogue. Dialogue is when I state an opinion and you give the [calm and rational] reasons why you don't agree with my opinion. Then you state your opinion and I respond. This is the way adults communicate.

There are definitely things we need to talk about. We need to discuss economic stimulus that doesn't involve the redistribution of wealth. We need to talk about the current economic problems which are not, I suspect, related to anything other than the manipulations of George Soros with the sycophantic connivance of the mainstream media who would do anything to get Barack Hussein Obama elected to the presidency, even if it meant risking their own nation and their own well being. And oh yes, Princess Botox and her pal Senator Cadaver helped a lot by insisting that banks make mortgage loans to people who had little hope of repaying those loans. And yes, to some extent, George W. Bush was complicit in the overspending, but at least he had a better reason. He was attempting to secure our borders for the safety of all of us - even those who hammered him daily with false and despicable calumny!

What needs to be discussed is the moral center of our nation and how it applies to our day-to-day political life. Are we a nation of whining wimps or are we a strong and vibrant nation that can survive enormous challenges, an area where we have frequently proven our worth? Are we going to sacrifice our valued independence of thought and expression (it's called the First Amendment) on the altar of political correctness? Are we going to display tolerance toward an entire Islamofascist movement that has every intention of destroying us or, are we going to stand up for ourselves and tell them to stick it up their burnoose if we somehow offend their oh-so-delicate sensibilities? Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn if Abdul is upset if Abdul is part of a religion that advocate MY destruction!

America is not perfect, but America IS worth fighting for and I think we've all become so engrossed in our own "stuff" that we aren't paying attention to the big picture. Starting now, that time should be over for all of us.

In loving memory of Ron Silver, a great artist and a great patriot, we should be thinking as clearly and as acutely as he did.

THE CULTURE OF SELF-ABSORPTION

Today our beautiful receptionist, Felicia, was delayed over 45 minutes getting back from lunch (a trip that should have taken about 5 minutes) because someone had fallen onto the tracks of the D.C. MetroRail and trains in both directions were stopped cold (obviously). And this brought me back to something that has been annoying me mightily for the past 3 or 4 months.

Most of the people riding the MetroRail system here steamroll ahead wearing little earbuds from their iPods, with an additional Blue Tooth attachment for the cell phone they are busy using for conversation or texting. As a consequence, they don't look where they're going and are genuinely shocked when someone objects to being shoved out of the way, so intent are they upon their headlong rush to a train that isn't even due to arrive for another 4-6 minutes!

One of the "conventions" for riding the escalaters that deliver one below ground to the various Metro stops is that people who don't wish to walk down the escalator (or cannot) stand to the right and people who want to walk down, use the left side. There is nothing in the rules about running down the escalator, shoving people standing quietly to the right because they are mature folks who don't believe in rushing around like hysterical prehistoric birds, chirping and running and shoving.

Is this why a person ended up on the tracks this afternoon? It wouldn't surprise me. Etiquette and the Metro have long since stopped going together in any form or fashion. Try walking along the platform to the spot where you normally board your train and people will pass you on the left, shoving you out of their way as they do so. It's dangerous and it's really annoying. And people "of a certain age" are more at risk than any others because some of my fellow "seniors" aren't as steady on their pins as they should be. And, unlike me, they don't proceed down the platform with their left elbow strategically placed to knock the wind out of some rude little shit who is endangering my safety!

I may be over 65, but I'm meaner than hell.

IS THAT "SPLAT" WE HEAR THE SOUND OF SOMETHING NASTY HITTING THE FAN?

Some very provocative events are unfolding today in the on-going saga of President Obama’s inappropriate radical friendships.

“In a sensational letter to be released at a March 12 National Press Club news conference, the San Francisco Police Officers Association (SFPOA) tells Cliff Kincaid of America’s Survival, Inc., and FamilySecurityMatters.org contributing editor, that evidence in the 1970 bombing murder of a San Francisco police officer points to Weather Underground members Bernardine Dohrn and Bill Ayers, two associates of President Barack Obama. The letter will be made public at a news event that will feature a former FBI informant in the Weather Underground saying that Ayers told him that Dohrn planted the bomb that killed Sergeant Brian V. McDonnell. The informant, Larry Grathwohl, has testified under oath before the U.S. Senate about the bombing plot.”

"There are irrefutable and compelling reasons to believe that Bill Ayers and his wife Bernardine Dohrn, members of the terrorist group 'Weather Underground' are largely responsible for the bombing of Park Police Station and other police stations throughout the United States during their 'tour of terror' in the late 1960s and early 1970s," the SFPOA letter states. The SFPOA letter is signed by all five officers of the SFPOA.” (h/t NRO Online, Candace de Russy reporting information received from Nancy at familysecuritymatters.org)

For old fogies like me, memory recalls that one police officer was killed, but that 8 others were seriously injured in this bombing and, tragically, no arrests have yet been made in this elderly case. But as we all know, there is no statute of limitations on murder. I don’t know if California law had “special circumstances” in those days, but if those provisions existed at that time, they too would apply.

At the very end of the article, there is yet another fascinating and troubling bit of information:

“The latter examines how members of the Weather Underground have regrouped to form a “new SDS” on college campuses.”
Is this another miscommunication? Another Ooops? Another proof positive that our immature and hubris laden President is way, way, way in over his head?

There’s no possibility of impeachment (not with La Pelosi and that effigy of a human being Harry Reid in charge), but now, more than ever, it is imperative that conservatives, indeed all Republicans, get their act together, quit fighting each other and see to it that this pinhead who thinks he is king of this country has a restraining opposition party in ascendance come 2011!

*The News Conference will be held at 12:30 p.m. at the National Press Club, 529 14th St., N.W., 13th floor, Washington, D.C. Reservations can be made by contacting griffin@griffnews.com or by calling 703-255-2211.

I think one can safely say that the “s**t is about to hit the fan” in a very meaningful way. The lamestream media cannot possibly ignore this one! Can they?

NOT EVEN TWO MONTHS AND EVEN SOME VERY WELL-RESPECTED LIBERALS ARE TURNING ON PRESIDENT OBAMA!

In an article in "Salon" respected (even by me some of the time) writer Camilla LaPaglia opines:

Yes, free the president from his flacks, fixers and goons -- his posse of smirky smart alecks and provincial rubes, who were shrewd enough to beat the slow, pompous Clintons in the mano-a-mano primaries but who seem like dazed lost lambs in the brave new world of federal legislation and global statesmanship.

Yes, the bloom is starting to fade ever more quickly from the rose of the Obama presidency. The arrogant assertion of privilege "We won!" is no longer sufficient hubris to disguise the inept and fumbling (unprepared) beginning of this administration, one which even I was praying would be successful enough to preserve our nation as it was intended to be by its founders. The foolish infants who are now part of the Obama administration are so sophomoric in their judgment and utterly inept in the area of foreign affairs that they have stumbled and bumbled to a degree that is utterly amazing.

The whole problem with flying as high as you have done, President Obama, is that, like Icarus, the wax on your wings may melt, plunging you to earth! Might be a really good idea to reduce your altitude and velocity somewhat and then open those gargantuan ears of yours in order to listen to the advice of those older and FAR wiser than yourself and get your presidency back on some sort of track that won't destroy or embarrass this nation any further than it has already done. And a nice apology to Prime Minister Brown wouldn't be amiss!

ASSAULT ON THE CATHOLIC CHURCH TAKING PLACE IN CONNECTICUT!

The State Senate of Connecticut wants to pass a law that would take away the right of Catholic clergy to control the finances of their own parishes. Just Catholics, mind you. No mention of Jews or Baptists or - heaven forfend - Muslims! No, just the Catholics!

The bill, introduced Thursday by the Judiciary Committee, would allow elected laypersons to handle parish finances and leave priests and bishops to oversee "matters pertaining exclusively to religious tenets and practices."

And of course, the uproar being promulgated by the ACLU and other civil rights organizations is deafening! Oh, sorry - nary a word of protest from those august bodies! Let a maniac who wants to destroy this country have one hair on his head ruffled and they spring into vociferous action. Let a State Senate attempt to circumvent or outright violate both the First and the Fourteenth Amendments and their silence is monumental! Bunch of hypocritical losers.

If you live in Connecticut - write your representatives to protest. If you don't live in Connecticut, write to the governor of Connecticut and let him know how downright wrong this kind of legislation truly is!

Address:

M. Jodi Rell

State of Connecticut

210 Capitol Avenue #200

Hartford, HT 06106

UPDATE: Apparently the lunatic anti-Catholics in the Connecticut State Senate didn't count on being "caught" with their hands in the cookie jar on this bill and have withdrawn to regroup. Trust me - they'll try again! In the meantime, all this nonsense is accomplishing something quite interesting - unifying and energizing Catholics who haven't felt this threatened in a very long time. A word to my wise friends of the Jewish, Lutheran, Baptist or Mormon faiths - if they get away with this infamia you will be next - stand with Catholics now!

WEEK'S END - A RECAP OF
THE USURPER'S ACTIVITIES

Let's see, Michelle went to volunteer at a Food Bank. Their food supplies went much further than usual due to a most unusual and puzzling outbreak of nausea among the clients! Because she was feeling discouraged that her Lady Bountiful moment didn't succeed more fully, Michelle then made it a point to insult the wife and children of the Prime Minister of our oldest ally, Great Britain. But marital loyalty protected her (kind of) because her idiot husband (aka The Usurper) proceeded to insult the Prime Minister of England even more dramatically than had his spouse (known to the people of Great Britain, henceforth, as "Lady MacBeth").

All is not lost, however. The Usurper arranged to have a swing set installed on the South Lawn of the White House so that he could watch his children at play! Along with half the Press Corps but what the hey!

Look, you flapeared dimwit, your JOB is to deal with the pressing concerns of this nation, not watch your kids at play. You didn't watch them play for the two years you were feverishly running for the job you now have (regardless of your qualifications) - so hunker down and do a little work and quit flitting all over the place!

IS OUR NEW PRESIDENT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FINANCIAL MELTDOWN?

My answer: Probably. But he didn't (and couldn't) do it by himself. The mainstream media was complicit to a staggering degree, in that they repeated uncritically every doom and gloom scenario pumped out by the Obama campaign without ever determining whether or not the information was true or false. For at least 3 years prior to the November election, the Democrat Party apparachiks were telling us we were in a recession (and oh yes, we were all going to incinerate any minute now due to global warming) - when in fact we never were. Until now.

Did Barack Hussein Obama or Michelle Obama directly orchestrate this financial meltdown? Hell no, because neither of them is smart enough to do so. But George Soros, that despicable Hungarian loon certainly is smart enough. Just cause you're crazy doesn't mean you aren't deadly clever! (And don't get all over me for insulting Hungarians folks - I'm Hungarian and reserve the right to criticize that piece of filth Soros any time I wish.)

I wonder just how long it is going to take for the American public that is still sane to completely comprehend just how far down the river this country has been sold by the Democratic Party, Barack Hussein Obama, the usurper, and the mainstream media - all at the behest of George Soros in his endless and fervid quest to destroy a country that he detests. And when the vast majority of Americans catch on to this debacle being foisted upon us by inimical forces, how are they going to react?

Aye, there's the catch in the whole thing. Is the 2nd American Revolution just around the corner? Mayhap, folks, mayhap! Or, a strong Republican presence could be returned to the Congress to cool the jets of this insanity before it goes too far. But if we elect enough Republicans to wrest control back into saner hands from the Botox-addled Pelosi and the dessicated nincompoop Reid, let's make a genuine effort this time to elect Republicans who have cojones and a spine! We don't need another Arlen, or a George Voinovich. And while the likes of Rush and Newt are great "idea" men, frankly we need people who can take theory and put it into practice in an efficient and firm manner.

In any event, if the first six weeks of the [failed] Obama Administration are any indication, the next 18 months are going to be really, really, really rough!

THE CHICAGO WAY

Sean Connery to Kevin Costner:

Here’s how you get Capone.

He pulls a knife; you pull a gun.

He sends one of yours to the hospital; you send one of his to the morgue.

I don't think Rush Limbaugh plays by Chicago rules, but he's a most adaptable fellow. Beyond that, it's entirely probable that El Rushbo would kindly decline to engage in a battle of wits with the unarmed - yet again! There is no possible way that the stammering naif now occupying the White House could even begin to achieve any kind of parity. It's even possible that he would be reduced to stammering "Sez you, fatso!" which would tend to harm the gravitas he affects!

It might, perhaps, be worthwhile if our President spent more time doing HIS own job and less time being a critic of the radio personality in whom many Americans place their faith! In other words, butt out you officious narcissist!
