THESE PEOPLE JUST DON'T "GET IT" AT ALL

The following idiots are blaming us great unwashed peasants - stupid to the core and clinging to our guns and religion - for the problems they are having - at least according to the Associated Press article published today:

Democrats seeking to boost voter turnout this fall are beginning to sound like the late comedian Chris Farley's portrayal of a "motivational speaker" on Saturday Night Live. Farley's character sought to inspire young people by announcing that they wouldn't amount to "jack squat" and would someday be "living in a van down by the river."

The tea-party movement has emerged as a potent force in American politics and the center of gravity within the GOP, a new Wall Street Journal/NBC poll finds.

Massachusetts Senator John Kerry, who prefers sailing vessels to vans by the river, recently tried out the Farley method. Said Mr. Kerry, "We have an electorate that doesn't always pay that much attention to what's going on so people are influenced by a simple slogan rather than the facts or the truth or what's happening." Bay State voters are surely thrilled to be represented by a man so respectful of their concerns.

This week President Obama chimed in with another uplifting message about the American electorate. Mr. Obama told Rolling Stone that the tea party movement is financed and directed by "powerful, special-interest lobbies." But this doesn't mean that tea party groups are composed entirely of corporate puppets. Mr. Obama graciously implied that a small subset of the movement is simply motivated by bigotry.

The President said "there are probably some aspects of the Tea Party that are a little darker, that have to do with anti-immigrant sentiment or are troubled by what I represent as the President." The tea party is now supported by a third of the country in some polls.

Isn't it nice to know how much the President of the United States respects the people who employ him and pay his salary! You arrogant son-of-a-bitch! I cannot wait to vote you out of office in 2012!
AND NO, THE BOOS WERE NOT DIRECTED AT
SARAH PALIN!

It was viral yesterday, fed by the attentions of such luminaries as the clueless Perez Hilton (a despicable little person) - but the boos that occurred on Monday night right after the scores were delivered for Jennifer Grey and her partner Derek Hough were not directed at Mrs. Palin but rather were directed at the judges' scores! But then to those afflicted with Palin Derangement Syndrome (a mutation of Bush Derangement Syndrome), nothing - not even the video shown last night proving the fact - will be sufficient to shut up their lies!

Pinheads!

Meanwhile, Michael Bolton (deservedly) is gone from the show. Next it would be nice to see Margaret Cho and The Situation gone - but in the latter case, not really likely. Jersey Shores provides him with a HUGE fan base!
CLASSLESS, HATE-FILLED BUFFOONS

This is a video of a supporter of Democrat Ted Strickland pouring hot coffee down the back of an opponent's supporter during a rally.

Very classy behavior. Bet there's a sticker for SEIU on your dirty van, you moronic twit!

Prayers Requested

No I don't like him and I've been very candid in my views on the subject. Nonetheless, former President James Earl Carter has been hospitalized in Cleveland, Ohio and we should send a prayer heavenward for his swift recovery. His family loves him.
BUT THE NYT WEREN'T PENALIZED
FOR PUBLISHING THE PENTAGON PAPERS!

Pinheads!

HERE IS SOMETHING TO WATCH THIS WEEKEND - MULTIPLE TIMES!

The sound of the Great Reagan's voice is enough to awaken you from your Dem-induced torpor and get your juices flowing. Just watch this and be inspired!

h/t Ben Howe and his brilliance
BONEHEADED DEM CHAIN EMAIL

I received today an email from an unknown source that read - in total - as follows:

We must vote on November 2, like our lives depend on it,because it does.

The Republican party has been hi-jacked by dangerous, radical hate mongers called the "Tea Party". They are led by Glen (sic) Beck and Sara Palin who's only goal is to take down President Obama and the government. In any third world country this would be called a "Coup de Etat". In America we fight "coups" at the ballot box. These people hate Blacks. They hate Latinos . They hate Muslims and have at times made many anti-Semitic statements. They hate Gays. They hate any moderate Republican who might be likely to cooperate with Obama.

Their rallying cry? "We want to take back our country!! Take it back from whom? American soil is still wet with the blood of our ancestors who fought for our right to vote. And vote we must!

The polls say Republicans are going to win enough votes to take over the senate and congress because Democrats lack the enthusiasm to vote. We must get as many people to the polls now as we did to vote for Obama. We don't need enthusiasm. We need to vote out fear. Fear that these radicals could take this country back to Jim Crow and the hey-day of the Klu-Klux-Klan. Don't think it could happen? Just stay home on election day and see what happens to this country.

Time is very short. Don't leave the voting to the other guy. Vote a straight Democratic ticket for your state: Governor,

and especially senator and congressman. Try to reach as many people as you can, like African drums across America.

Forward this E-mail to at least 15 people and please keep it going pretty much like a chain letter. We can't beak the chain or we may find ourselves in chains once more!!

There are so many lies and misrepresentations in this email I cannot even begin to refute each and every one of them. Of course, everything of which the Tea Party is accused is actually the kind of thing practiced by Democratic Party regulars. Clearly they need to be taught to spell, punctuate, THINK and generally write in a coherent fashion. They are so incredibly stupid that they don't even realize the depths of their ignorance! They are all around us and they Vote!
ANOTHER REASON TO LOVE GOV. CHRISTIE OF NEW JERSEY

Aside from the fact that he isn't as enthralled with those repulsive Jersey Shore cretins as the rest of the country seems to be, he is a gentleman and doesn't tolerate guff from anyone! We need more conservatives with Christie's brand of "stones"!

From the AP article:

Whitman was speaking onstage when a man in the audience began to yell, complaining about her refusal to take questions at the event. "What are you hiding? You're looking like Arnold [Schwarzenegger] in a dress," heckler Ed Buck shouted at Whitman.

Christie is known for his blunt, confrontational demeanor -- his past heated encounters have included run-ins with teachers, unions and journalists. So as the heckler was berating Whitman, the New Jersey governor approached him.

"You want to yell? Yell at me, but don't give her a hard time," Christie said into his microphone. But Christie didn't stop there: "It's people who raise their voices and yell and scream like you that are dividing this country," he said. "We're here to bring this country together, not divide it." The audience roared with cheers and applause.

Gov. Christie, I'd give serious consideration to moving to New Jersey. First Janet Evanovich and now you! To quote Martha Stewart: "It's a good thing!"

LORETTA SANCHEZ (D-CA) IS AN IDIOT

I'm no racist, nor am I xenophobic, nor am I any kind of bigot. But I have always disliked with a great deal of energy this radical racist bitch from California. It's my firm belief that her election was fraudulent from the outset.

I lived in California when she was elected to office. I remember standing in line at the polls waiting to vote. I also remember that none of the people in line ahead of me could even speak English - which said to me that they were very very fresh over the river and through the woods! And likely illegal.

Now Madame Sanchez comes up with racist crap wherein she attacks Van Tran, a Republican, as “anti-immigrant.” Sanchez was born in California; Tran was born in Vietnam, and immigrated to this country in 1975. For you young’uns, that was the year when, thanks to Democratic politics, the U.S. turned tail and ran, leaving hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese citizens at the mercy of the Communists. Go over to Bookworm Room to see the video clip.

It must suck to be a Democrat these days - every stinking stupid remark you make ends up on YouTube - frequently going viral!
DEMOCRATS CONTINUE TO BLAME EVERYONE BUT THEMSELVES FOR THEIR PREDICAMENT

On January 21, 2010, the Supreme Court ruled on the Citizens United case by which the Supreme Court affirmed that the First Amendment was violated by election laws interdicting campaign advertising by corporations in most instances. However, the advertising floodgates have not opened so much as the American people have seen - and quite clearly - the debacle being foisted upon us by the free-spending pinheads of the Democratic-controlled Congress.

Most of the advertising that irks Democrats was legal before Citizens United, and the plausible prospect of taking over one or both houses of Congress has energized Republicans, while Democrats are dispirited by the unpopularity of their party's policies.

Let's face it - it sucks to be a Democrat right now. For two years your party has had control of both houses of Congress AND the Presidency and while you've managed to ram through a lot of legislation, most of what you've done has been against the wishes of your employers - the American electorate.

You only have yourselves to blame for your potentially poor showing in the only Poll that counts - the one that will take place in November! Throw the bums out is the rallying cry of most Americans, Tea Party adherents or not.

And blaming George W. Bush for your predicament is the default position of whiney babies! You did your own silly selves in!

BOOKWORM ROOM MUST READ TODAY

Go to Bookworm Room and read the brilliantly written examination of why nouveau riche politicians are so anxious to prevent all the rest of us from achieving their level of success.
DELUSION - THY NAME IS NANCY PELOSI!

The absolute worst Speaker of the House in my memory (and I'm pretty doggone old) spoke thus on NPR this past weekend:

"First of all , I don't accept that premise [of a Republican landslide] in any way shape or form. The momentum is with us. We are out there to dispel many of the misrepresentations that have been going out there for nearly two years by the Republicans and the special interests, the oil industry, the health insurance industry, the banks and their allies.

We're out there. Our members are great articulate spokespersons for their point of view into their districts. And district by district we feel very confident about the election

And we believe that six weeks from today, six weeks from Wednesday of this week we will have no regrets but instead we will have a great Democratic victory"

What the hell is this dippy bitch smoking? If there is any valid reason to vote Republican, this harridan is chief among them! Vote Republican in November and get this botox poisoned wretched creature off the front pages for good!

THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY 43,
OHIO UNIVERSITY 7

This game on paper didn't figure to be a cliffhanger - and it wasn't. But it certainly gave OSU's quarterback Pryor the chance to sparkle and shine and the young man doesn't miss such an opportunity!

Great game, great victory, Buckeyes! Next up? Eastern Michigan. Hmmmm. Who set this schedule anyway?

DEFEATED CANDIDATES AND THEIR TANTRUMS

Enough already with the infantile behavior. Lisa Murkowski - you didn't really earn the seat in the first damned place so don't piss and moan because people are fed up with your poor performance in it. Joe Miller won, fair and square, and your tantrum is unbecoming a public servant and a member of the Republican Party. Same goes for Castle in Delaware.

Both of you idiots need to don your adult Depends and endorse the candidate that defeated you. It's "We the People" not "Me the Incumbent" that is in charge!

A CAUTION TO CONSERVATIVE CANDIDATES

I have noted, of late, a disturbing trend wherein conservative candidates are adopting many underhanded and despicable tactics formerly employed by Democrats in order to further their own candidates.

This is a trend that is manifestly wrong and should be rejected vocally by anyone who perceives this kind of activity.

Being a conservative means having some principles which I realize is a word unknown to La Pelosi and her merry band of crooks, cynical race baiters and the like.

We want to regain the power to balance the excesses of the Obama White House. In so doing, let us not abandon the high moral ground upon which we have always striven to stand. God won't thank us for being crooked Democrats-lite!
NEW DAY DAWNING

Looks like the geriatric leadership of the GOP is getting their bloomers in a bunch - and not a moment too soon. Their collective turgid stupidity has put this entire nation at risk and those of us who allowed them to get away with it for so long ought to have our fannies tanned! We, the People, only awakened when the horrendous consequences of the Obama presidency began to sink into our consciousness. We were somnolent enough to allow him to slip into office almost unopposed (with the old guard's pet candidate McCain to help him) and it was only McCain's choice of the effervescent and luminous Sarah Heath Palin as his running mate that energized the campaign.

I am 68 years old but I don't count myself as being one of that crowd of time-serving, sycophantic numbskulls who are running the GOP. I would hope I am hipper and smarter and a whole lot less contrived than that bunch!
REP. CASTLE - TIME TO GROW A PAIR!

Talk about a sore loser?! This from the Delaware idiot defeated by Christine O'Donnell:

Last Friday, four days before the primary, O'Donnell called Castle "unmanly" for filing an election law complaint against her, telling a radio show host that "this is not a bake-off, get your man-pants on."
She was right to tell him that and he is still whining and says six weeks isn't long enough to get over the assault on his dignity! What a big baby and thank goodness he didn't get the nomination if he has to sit and lick his paw for 6 weeks before the general election.

If you're going to call yourself a Republican, you big mewling asshole, then man up, endorse the candidate who defeated you, and get on with your life. You've been feeding at the public trough long enough!

ANN COULTER HITS ONE OUT OF THE PARK - AGAIN!

Read Ann's column on the Vanity Fair piece about Sarah Palin and the egotism and stupidity of its author who is, according to Ann's column, a certifiable nutcase! Read it here. Be prepared to laugh. Nobody can drain the hot air out of the pomposity of the left like Ann Coulter!
FURTHER MUSINGS ON THE LACKING IN ORIGINALITY "LEGACY MEDIA"

The same goofy and utterly banal blathering that accompanied Sarah Palin's entry onto the national stage is now being applied to Christine O'Donnell. "Emotionally unstable" and "unelectable". Really? This is a woman who just defeated the candidate who was considered the most popular office-holder in the state of Delaware! Unelectable? I think not.

Stay focused conservatives and make them eat their words! She may not be the dream candidate but then, who is?

ANSWER ME THIS QUESTION

Why is it that leftwing females find it necessary to look like they haven't bathed in days and haven't washed their hair or brushed their teeth in weeks.

Yes, Hillary Clinton, I'm speaking to you!

LOOK FAMILIAR?

This cartoon is from 1934!
G.O.P. LEADERS NEED TO LISTEN AND HEAR
WHAT IS BEING SAID

I have a dear friend who is so disheartened by the victory of the Tea Party candidate in Delaware that he has closed his yahoo account and withdrawn from participation in political affairs evermore. That's a sad commentary on what is happening out there in the political world and one I would like to address.

FIRST, she may be a disaster but she's OUR disaster and we must deal with it. Why not counsel and educate her and have such as Cantor or Ryan spend some time teaching her what she needs to know. Furthermore, she needs to own up to her flaws in public and with no equivocation.

I don't think EITHER choice in Delaware was a particularly good one since Castle was your typical RINO and hardly someone that espouses conservative principles - but then again either is an improvement on Biden. I have long believed that our current vice president is a blithering idiot.

SECOND, while there are many problems with the current candidate - manifestly pointed out by no less than Karl Rove on Hannity last night - she is, nevertheless, our ticket to the seat. Ergo, the GOP's threat to not FUND the woman is asinine and petulant stupidity.

THIRD, if the Tea Party Express wants to be and remain a viable force in American politics, it must begin to choose and select candidates more carefully in advance and the GOP establishment needs to put on its big boy/girl panties and support those selected.

Here's the deal, as I see it, based on over 50 years of involvement in party politics, starting with the first Eisenhower campaign: The established GOP had, prior to the Tea Party Movement, completely lost its way. There was, essentially, no difference between the two parties. Both were spending out of control and both were involved in the passing of un-American (at best) legislation that was pissing off the people who put them in office. Which of course, gave rise to the Tea Party movement in the first place. The American people (who do, after all, pay the bills) were fed up and didn't want to be ignored any longer. And that is a mistake BOTH parties were and are still making.

Given that the Tea Party Express now has some traction and leverage, they have an equal responsibility to vet their endorsed candidates thoroughly and unapologetically.

Anyone who has consistently read my blog knows that I have often berated the Republicans in the House and the Senate for their spineless behavior. After the first euphoria of winning the majority had passed, it was almost as if they were apologetic for having the power to reshape the narrative. They were groveling for the Democrats to love them and that was - realistically - never going to happen. I have often said that bullies can be made to respect you but expecting them to love you is a fool's errand!

So let's quit throwing recriminations and accusations around at each other my fellow Republicans. The national Party needs to grow a pair and start behaving with leadership and integrity. The Tea Party Movement needs to stop behaving like a bunch of euphoric little kids and start accepting their ADULT responsibilities as well.

At the age of 68, I've achieved a certain degree of goofy wisdom. I don't think the Dems are going to control a damned thing after November but I do think that we need to develop and refine our message more clearly and more honestly and the national GOP needs to realize that they aren't going to live forever, they have made some serious mistakes and it's time for new blood to start affecting the outcome of things.

UPDATE: According to Drudge Report, contributions are flowing into the O'Donnell campaign so quickly that her website has crashed! Sounds like she doesn't need the national GOP contribution!

UPDATE #2: It appears that Laura Ingraham agrees with my assessment of Karl Rove's pessimism. And then, from that irritating soon-to-be-ex House Speaker Nancy Pelosi:

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) cheered the Tea Party victories in Tuesday’s Republican primaries, saying the results were “very positive” for Democrats. “What happened for Democrats last night was very positive,”

Pelosi told reporters after addressing the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation at the Capitol Wednesday morning. “We were very pleased with the candidates that we drew, and they offer a great contrast in the election as to the clarity of the choice.”
UPDATE #3: Craig Ferguson: "It's a great day for members of the Tea Party. ... In Delaware, in the Senate race, Tea Party candidate Christine O'Donnell defeated a Republican. ... Democrats are already attacking O'Donnell. They're calling her 'the Sarah Palin of the East.' Really? She's a loud, emotionally unstable woman from Delaware. That's not Sarah Palin. That's Joe Biden."

MUSINGS WHILST ON VACATION

I was on vacation last week and spent a lot of the time relaxing in front of the TV set with Rusty, my favorite unapologetic predator, on my lap. Buddy has reserved the back of my recliner for his own perch and so it went in the world of Mom and the two pussycats! At one point Nancy Pelosi was screaching away about something or other - which so disturbed my Rusty that he jumped off my lap and ran to hide under the end table by the window. Buddy remained unfazed, as he generally does.

Watched Sunrise at Campobello, a heavily fictionalized rendering of the story of Franklin D. Roosevelt and Eleanor from before his bout with polio and thereafter with the always fascinating Hume Cronyn playing Louis Howe. Greer Garson played Eleanor Roosevelt (looking far better than Eleanor Roosevelt ever could have hoped to look) and Ralph Bellamy, as FDR. Regardless of how you feel about FDR's presidency - and I'm in the category that believes he was a disaster unequaled until the Hick from Georgia and The Boy King's recent election - I had never really given much thought to the obstacles and the sheer WILL that drove the man. Comparing FDR in my mind with the cretin occupying the White House right now and FDR was a giant by comparison.

Perhaps President Obama would have worn better on the American populace if he had had the humility and good grace to be less visible. The more you see of him and the more you hear his condescending and hectoring rhetoric, the more you dislike this somewhat horrendous choice made by someone (I didn't vote for the s.o.b. and don't know anyone who did.). Since I work in the District, within a few blocks of the White House, I have observed first hand the incredibly arrogant way in which our President has caused the already horrid traffic to be further complicated willy-nilly in a way George W. Bush never seemed to. It's just one small sign of the man's mindset. Which is supercilious arrogance toward the peasants he thinks he rules. As if!

Ms. McCain - SHUT YOUR STUPID PIE HOLE!

Senator John McCain has a homegrown problem - his daughter Meghan! Aside from the fact that she has the IQ of a house plant, she is a famewhore of major proportions.

Ms. McCain - have you ever achieved anything worthwhile on your own or is your notoriety only the result of being born to a famous father and an overindulgent mother? I would say likewise for Bristol Palin (just by the way). Ms. McCain whose education is sketchy at best, has been plopping her dumbass self on various leftwing talk shows to diss Gov. Sarah Palin who, on her worst day, is 10 times the woman that Ms. McCain will EVER be.

Just shut the fuck up Meghan. You are an idiot and an embarrassment. I know the Republican Party is a "big tent" but it isn't big enough to accommodate your ego and your stupidity! You truly are not terribly bright.

OH SHERIFF JOE, NO YOU DIDN'T!

Attorney General Eric Holder's Justice Department is once again proving its rank stupidity by filing a lawsuit against Sheriff Joe Arapaio. Just before the lawsuit was filed, it seems that the good sheriff, being somewhat smarter than a fifth grader, via his attorneys, filed a FOIA request to ICE and got their report on their review of his department.

Guess what? According to an article in the Washington Examiner written by Byron York, Maricopa County's Sheriff's Department passed with flying colors on all fronts!

Here's just a snippet of the article:

New evidence undermines feds' case against Arizona

By: Byron York
Chief Political Correspondent
September 2, 2010

You've heard a lot about the Justice Department's lawsuit to stop the new Arizona immigration law. But that's just one part of the Obama administration's multi-front war on immigration enforcement in Arizona.

In addition to the drive to kill the new law, Attorney General Eric Holder is also suing the Maricopa Community College system in Phoenix, alleging it broke the law by requiring a job seeker to provide a green card before being hired. And on Thursday the Justice Department filed suit against the Maricopa County Sheriff's office, run by the flamboyant Joe Arpaio, as part of an extended investigation into alleged civil rights violations there.

Despite the splash of attention from the newest lawsuit, the Justice Department's investigation of Arpaio could end badly for Holder. When the Department first informed Arpaio that a probe was under way, back in March 2009, it sent a letter saying the investigation would focus on "alleged patterns or practices of discriminatory police practices and unconstitutional searches and seizures." But now we learn that just six months before that, in September 2008, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, known as ICE, did its own investigation of Arpaio's office -- and gave it a clean bill of health. Arpaio's lawyers recently got a copy of the ICE report through the Freedom of Information Act.

ICE officials evaluated how the sheriff's office performed under a law that allows specially trained local law enforcement officers to enforce parts of federal immigration law. The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, which is the largest sheriff's office in the Arizona, has 189 officers who have been trained by ICE to enforce federal immigration statutes.

Is that egg on your face Mr. Holder? Are you embarrassed yet? Are you ready to resign? If not, your impeachment may be arranged or else it's entirely possible that you will find your incompetent bigoted ass under the same bus where Rev. Jeremiah Wright found himself, along with a lot of other people who have embarrassed your boss - The Boy King!

Tsk, tsk, tsk!

AND SO IT BEGINS

Tomorrow night at 7:30 p.m. on the Big Ten Network, Ohio State will embark upon its quest for yet another National Championship against Marshall in the 'Shoe!

It should be a terrific game and you can be assured that the Buckeyes will not in any way underestimate the skill and commitment of any of its opponents this season. Jim Tressell is not in the habit of permitting his players to be smug, arrogant or lazy - on or off the field. That is why I admire the program so very much.

I am a proud alum of The Ohio State University (and UCLA and Pepperdine - I love going to school) and will be watching the coming season with great enjoyment and anticipation!

GO BUCKS!
