According to this article in the New York Post, the debacle that was the weekend New York area snow non-removal was the fault of unions "wanting to teach a lesson" to Mayor Michael "Nanny" Bloomberg for budget cuts, demotions and cutting of non-productive city employees and this entire action was actually ordered by union bosses. If this story is true, then these so-called "public servants" should be prosecuted for malfeasance. In the meantime, in order to prevent further nonsense of this sort, why doesn't the City of New York hire private companies to do the jobs formerly done (mostly well but sometimes poorly) by the public employees and remove their need and ability to screw up the citizens who pay their salaries. Outgoing governor of New York State, David Patterson, is calling for a criminal investigation into the allegations according to this article.

People who use bad grammar, as in : "I seen her coming down the street." No you didn't you failure of the American school system, you SAW her coming down the street.

Figure skaters competing wearing dirty skates, dark roots and too many sequins on their costumes. The girls need to tone it down as well.

The current President of the United States and his lady wife.

Jesse Jackson.

Al Gore.

Kate Gosselin.

Anyone named Kardashian or Jenner. I like Bruce but the rest of the clan is overrated.

Jon Gosselin.

Kate Gosselin.

Animal abusers.

Public officials who think they know better than I do what I should be eating. It's my body. I pay for my own health insurance. I'll eat what I want, seasoned as I wish it to be seasoned.

People who walk up to you, unsolicited, and tell you how you should be living your life. Jehovah Witnesses are included in this category. And if you knock on my front door at 9 a.m. on a Sunday, you deserve the tongue-lashing you're about to receive! I may even stick to English while doing it. I have a sign on my door that says religious missionaries are not welcome. I don't discuss the Bible with people who cannot read!

The great unwashed who feel they have every right to tell Catholics how their Church should be run and what our belief system should be. Non-Catholics who feel the need to tell us what dogma we should be observing. SHUT THE HELL UP!

All people, of whatever persuasion, who find it necessary to advertise their sexuality in great and irritating detail. I don't care if you are gay or straight or somewhere in between. I don't care if you like to have sex sitting on an ice cube in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. I don't care if you like to have sex 12 times daily or not more than once per week. These are all PRIVATE matters. There is such a thing as too much sharing. Zip it kids. Keep it to yourselves.

Politicians who cannot stop campaigning, even after the election has been held. Politicians who cannot ADMIT they have lost - even when it's clear that they have. Politicians who lose a primary and then insist on running as a write-in candidate. You lost the primary. Get a clue! Senator Murkowski - I'm speaking to you. The seat doesn't BELONG to you by right of inheritance, you fatuous crone. And the Alaskans who gave it back to you via write-in after they took it from you by an honest election - well that's just wrong!

States that deny our military their constitutional right to vote through chicanery and double dealing nonsense or inefficiency.

Politicians who think they need to run their mouths and comment about every shitting little thing that happens, as if we're all waiting for them to explain current events to us! We don't. Shut up.

Old farts like me who think someone is interested in what they have to say.

The President of the United States seems to be of the opinion that Michael Vick deserves our forgetfulness over the myriad and heinous acts of cruelty toward animals that he either directly committed or that were committed on behalf of his despicable dog fighting ring.

I don't care what the President thinks, he should keep those thoughts to himself. There is value in unexpressed opinions. Particularly when it comes to Michael Vick's egregious transgressions.

We are coming up on the New Year and during the past few months, Michael Vick has been having great good fortune on the football field. Meanwhile, many of his victims - those that didn't have to be killed because they were so horrendously damaged - are continuing to try to live a life that has some love, some comfort and some feeling of security, despite the bountiful love being showered upon them.

So dear Lord, forgive me if I find it really hard to forget what Michael Vick has done to damage (almost beyond repair) animals who never did him any harm whatsoever. I look at my sister's pit bull mix, Zeus who is an animal born in safety and raised with devotion and lavish affection, and I must repress the urge to thrash Mr. Vick within an inch of his life, jolt him with massive amounts of electrical current and then hold his head underwater until he understands the terror of near-drowning that the animals in his "care" experienced.

Our animal companions are God's gift to us - and a test of our humanity! I can only think of the much-loved and greatly-lamented Sam the Wonder Cat and the many hang-ups he had due to his very rough start in life. Yes, he had 10 years of love and devotion from me. And yet, as he got older, that really wasn't enough and his suspicion of strangers became almost pathological. Thus he was denied the overwhelming love that many people are able to shower on Rusty and Buddy because they both are willing to accept the affection of other humans. Especially humans who offer treats!

Folks, it's really quite simple. We aren't really here for our own pleasure and our own self-indulgence. We're here to support and respect each other and care for those less fortunate than ourselves, including the cats and dogs we encounter along the way. They cannot speak. They can't say - "Hey, that HURTS!" or "Stop teasing me endlessly!" They can only slink away and hide from us and hope that they encounter kinder humans. Sadly, many of them do not.

In this New Year, I urge you to rescue a cat or a dog. Make room in your life for a creature who will give you far more than you give them. Stroking the soft fur of a cat or a dog is conducive to lower blood pressure. You can tell your cat or dog your deepest secrets, cry in their fur, lament your lot in life and they won't judge. You can have the worst hair day of your life - they won't judge. That alone makes giving a home to a dog or kitty an excellent idea!

You got better and better as the series wore on and you started out not too shabby initially! It took great courage to put yourself out there in public doing something that was hardly your forte. And you displayed grace and courage and style in the process.

You were by far the best skater on the show and you deserved to win, so I'm glad that you did!

The Republican establishment hasn't yet gotten the message. They are now enchanted by Mike Pence, an obscure Congress critter, and are considering building him up as a presidential contender in 2012! What part of the Tea Party do these idiots not understand? We aren't the slightest bit interested in business as usual! Not now, not ever again!

The current so-called leadership of the Republican Party has devolved into fossilized, brain dead robots, marching blindly ahead with no thoughts, no moral compass and no hope of ever being relevant! Banish them NOW, please.

Sis got a job yesterday. It will definitely be a Merry Christmas! She's been without health insurance for a few months and that's the most important consideration. She starts on Thursday!

Friday, December 17, 2010

I was coming back from picking up my lunch today at noon and a woman with a very somber face was approaching me from the other direction. I smiled at her and said "Merry Christmas". At first she looked a tad startled, then she smiled back at me and said "Merry Christmas" in return.

This is my favorite time of the year, which is why I will seldom blog unless the lame-duck, lame-ass Congress does something egregious. And if each of us were to smile and greet a complete stranger on the streets, something good might happen.

Or we might get locked up on a 72 hour mental health hold! It can go either way.

This is directed to all the smug, self-righteous morons who actually believed that claptrap Al Gore was selling about climate change and manmade global warming! Apparently, although we cannot prevent hurricanes and tornadoes and really bad thunderstorms, we humans are powerful enough to incinerate our own planet. What horse feathers!

I'm sure there was a lot of weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth when Japan's kokanee salmon appeared to have disappeared in the 1940s. But lo and behold, it's been found again!

TOKYO – A Japanese salmon species thought to be extinct for 70 years is alive and well in a lake near Mount Fuji, a science professor said Wednesday.

The black kokanee, or "kunimasu" in Japanese, was thought to have died out in 1940, when a hydroelectric project made its native lake in northern Akita Prefecture more acidic.

Before then, 100,000 eggs were reportedly transported to Lake Saiko but the species was still thought to have died off.

So instead of scurrying around, making asses of yourselves with your Chicken Little imitations, you might want to take a good look at the horrendously incompetent demigod you've elected to lead this nation and start to have some serious second thoughts about Herr Obama! He is a DISASTER folks!

The woman didn't have the easiest of lives. Yes, there was eventually wealth and a high degree of privilege, but there was also extreme pain and suffering and a life cut short by an evil disease which she fought with the courage of a lion.

I didn't have many political opinions in common with this admirable woman, but I had a great deal of empathy for her struggles in her later years.

Being friends with a woman who lost a son way too soon, I could admire the tenacity and courage with which Elizabeth Edwards continued to live her life. Having a co-worker who is in a daily and never-ending struggle with the horrendous disease that took Mrs. Edwards' life, I have a very small understanding of the strength that struggle requires. And I even understand why she did not drop kick that sorry sack of excrement to whom she was married for 30 years to the curb. They were married most of their adult lives and had shared the early poverty and the long, uphill climb. The fact that they celebrated their wedding anniversary at Wendy's every year because that's where they had their first date, tells me a lot.

I said a few prayers yesterday for Mrs. Edwards when I learned of her demise. I prayed for her younger two children as well. I hope they will always understand that their mother was an admirable and courageous fighter! Please continue to pray for Mrs. Edwards' children.

UPDATE: The moronic twits of Westboro Baptist Church are planning to continue their despicable activities by picketing the funeral services tomorrow that are planned for Elizabeth Edwards. These aren't really human beings, they are Satan's imps wearing human disguises! Shame on every one of you for your appalling and horrid behavior. I hope the Supreme Court justices who are considering your case take note of your antics and shut you down!

FCC Commissioner Michael Copps seems to be contemplating subjecting broadcasters to a new "public values test" every four years. This is, it seems to me, a clear violation of the U.S. Constitution and once again, proof that the Obama Administration is seeking to achieve via regulation what they cannot achieve in the legitimate venue of laws passed by the U.S. Congress, whose job it is to make our laws and make them observing the supreme law of the land, the Constitution.
He said outlets should be mandated to do the following: prove they have made a meaningful commitment to public affairs and news programming, prove they are committed to diversity programming (for instance, by showing that they depict women and minorities), report more to the government about which shows they plan to air, require greater disclosure about who funds political ads and devote 25 percent of their prime-time coverage to local news.
The regulations would apply to all new outlets operating on public airwaves. I would suspect that this means that the FCC cannot touch their real target - Fox News Channel - because it doesn't operate on public airwaves per se but rather on cable.

Mr. Copp, what you propose is un-American at best. You are not an elected official and you are not someone we have chosen to make our laws. You are a bureaucratic functionary and, as such, you have no damned business trying to make public policy. So knock it off you horse's derriere!

Wikileaks, that seemingly untouchable affront to governmental confidentiality apparently received the most recent batch that was unveiled Sunday from an Army intelligence analyst who copied tens of thousands of sensitive documents onto CDs labeled "Lady Gaga."
The young man's name? Bradley Manning. He is pictured above next to that infamous cretin Julian Assange who apparently is wanted in Sweden for a host of unsavory sexual offenses! Harumph!

Mr. Mannning was apparently in a funk because he was having romantic issues with his significant other! Oh okay, right then - that's a good reason to betray your country you traitorous yahoo!

UPDATE: The following is a portion of an interview on Fox News back in July as reported by NewsBusters' Jeff Poor:

"STUDIO B" HOST SHEPARD SMITH: You just interviewed Julian Assange. Now Julian Assange is the man who is the founder of WikiLeaks - released these, or on his site was released the 92,000 pages of documents that lead to all this discussion about our complete failures in Afghanistan and thoughts that we need to get out of Afghanistan. He told you something that I considered to be a blockbuster bit of news.

[Judge Andrew] NAPOLITANO: And that is that WikiLeaks presented the documents - there were over 100,000 pages of them, to the White House.

SMITH: When?

NAPOLITANO: Weeks before they were released. He wouldn't give me an exact date.

Smith speculated the White House was offered first glance at these documents prior to other media outlets. Napolitano said Assange got no response from the White House during that time. Meanwhile, Kevin over at HillBuzz, often the most provocative site of the day, wants to know if Assange could dump the Prez's birth certificate and school records!

Since I wasn't cooking for the holiday, I gave myself permission to sleep in on Thanksgiving - and indeed I did sleep late - until 11:30 a.m.! I haven't done that in a long, long, long time! Woke up feeling feisty and peppy. I wasn't out of the sack more than about 5 minutes when certain feline companions of mine started upping my giggle factor by a LOT!

Buddy and Rusty first amused me by campaigning for brunch with a show of aerobic hijinks that reduced me to tear inducing giggles! Then they spent an inordinate amount of time jockeying for position on my lap while I tried to drink my coffee!

Went to Joyce's for the day and her future (?) son-in-law was deep frying anything that came within his reach! I came prepared with a fresh turkey breast that immediately found its way into the vat of screaming hot peanut oil! When it was done it looked amazing and it tasted even more amazing. Thanks Conrad! After spending a few hours enjoying the revelry, the good food, the companionship and the antics of Joyce's grandkids, I headed home to enjoy a leisurely chat with friend Pam. I miss her.

The balance of the weekend I spent puttering, resting, playing with the boys and just enjoying my home. I have a long-standing policy of staying within my own 4 walls and off the roads during the holiday weekends!

Made a new discovery, however, because I felt compelled to watch "The Wizard of Oz" at least once. Turns out Rusty is enamored of the munchkins (or at least their voices). He planted his lovely self directly in front of the TV and proceeded to give the screen his undivided attention. Weird little fellow is Rusty! Buddy finds the TV completely without interest and took the opportunity of Rusty's distraction to climb on the back of the recliner and launder my hair! Long acquaintance with catdom has taught me that this is a sign of affection. I have no doubt that there is a great deal of affection between the 3 of us.

My annual rant about the figure skating competitions.

First, lots of dark roots to be seen. If you are going to go blonde, then keep it up! How difficult is that concept?

Second, lots of filthy skates and dirty skate laces to be seen. No. No. No. You must respect yourself and your appearance as a part of respecting your sport. Put in clean, fresh laces before a competition (thereby, as a bonus, possibly preventing a broken lace during the actual event) and make sure that you have polished your boots and in other ways refreshed the appearance of the soles and heels of the skate boot. It's simple cleanliness and should be considered as part of the overall presentation mark.

Third, costuming does not have to contain every sequin available in the known world! Tone it down some. Aside from the tacky factor involved in over-sequining your costume, there's the danger to other skaters. Those puppies cause falls and it is irresponsible to make the ice unsafe for others! Check your skirt length so that your partner doesn't end up tripping on an overly lengthy, overly flowing skirt! It has happened to one pair twice already in the same competition. That is avoidable error folks!

If you have only a 50% chance of landing a jump, don't include it in your program. The sight of your butt hitting the ice isn't one to which I look forward! The best competitions are the ones in which everyone skates cleanly and to the best of their abilities. Then the BEST man wins - not the last man standing!

Or are other people really, really, really annoyed by the hyperactive female in the Target commercials? She is frenetic beyond belief. And not in a good way.

A newly-elected Florida congresswoman, a Democrat, wants the soon-to-be Speaker of the House to change the rules governing the wearing of hats - for her benefit!

Isn't that just like a Dem - wanting the rules to apply to everyone but herself!

Like other freshman lawmakers, newly elected Florida Rep. Frederica Wilson ran for Congress on a vow to change Washington. But her first order of business has nothing to do with health care, education or the usual mix of issues that come up in the early days of a new Congress.

Instead, Wilson's first goal is to overturn a rule that blocks her from wearing a hat on the House floor. The freshman Democrat is pressing incoming House Speaker John Boehner to overturn the rule, which dates back to the 1800s, or at least to make an exception for her. But it's unclear whether Boehner -- who, in any event, will likely have plenty of priorities ahead of a rule-change request from a member of the opposition party -- could do anything, shy of a full floor vote, to overturn the House's hat ban.

Madam Congress Critter - you do what you want when you aren't on the people's dime; you were elected to Congress to govern, not subject us to a fashion show!

I watched it last night and frankly, I voted for Bristol Palin because she did a very credible job once again. Jennifer Grey came into this competition with an unfair advantage and no small amount of dshonesty. All this "Oh I loved Patrick Swayze so much" crap is just that - crap. It is well known that they despised one another when they were making "Dirty Dancing" and nothing I've ever read or heard tells me anything to the contrary. So cut the self-serving rewriting of history lady!

Furthermore, I became fed up throughout the period that the show was on with her whining and complaining about being in pain for one reason or another. EVERYONE on the show was in pain; that's part of the deal with DWTS you entitled bitch!

So no, I do not want Jennifer Grey to win - even though it's probably preordained that she does! Everyone is so enchanted with her. Why? She's a nasty piece of work so far as I can tell.

I also watched "Skating with the Stars" and my verdict - the show is just plain lame - but in an entertaining way! I'm rooting for Rebecca Budig to win. I was under the impression that you could vote online, but this morning I discovered that apparently you cannot.

By the way - WHY are they filming both shows at CBS studios in L.A. when the shows are ABC products?

Anyone who saw the video of Senator Jay Rockefeller (D-WV) opining that the FCC should shut down BOTH Fox News and MSNBC (never mind that they are both CABLE networks and thus out of the FCC's reach) saw the staffer standing behind him rolling her eyes. Clearly the Senator's remarks were NOT in the script!

Senator Rockefeller - here's a little piece of information for your ignorant self - in this country we have a little something called the First Amendment to the Constitution which guarantees the freedom of the press and freedom of speech.
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Nowhere in the First Amendment does it say that a grandstanding cretin has the right to shut down an entire news network because he isn't happy with what they are broadcasting. And no, Senator Rockefeller, they aren't there for YOU to like, they are there and Fox News at least is successful because it's the only place to find unvarnished, balanced reportage, something that cannot be found on NPR. By the way Senator, isn't your WIFE the president of a PBS station - WETA? Can you say "Conflict of Interest" Senator?

That he selected Obama and is using his billions to subvert the U.S. and its Constitution. In an article appearing in the Huffington Post, we find the following:

WASHINGTON -- At a private meeting on Tuesday afternoon, George Soros, a longtime supporter of progressive causes, voiced blunt criticism of the Obama administration, going so far as to suggest that Democratic donors direct their support somewhere other than the president.

"We have just lost this election, we need to draw a line," he said, according to several Democratic sources. "And if this president can't do what we need, it is time to start looking somewhere else."

Mr. Soros, a word of instruction since clearly you do not understand how this country works. A majority of the American people has rejected you and your flap-eared puppet and they will continue to do so no matter how much money you throw at the project. And that's just the way it is supposed to work. Our nation is set up in such a way as to prevent rich lunatics like you from subverting the will of the American people. I know you thought you were buying America but it turns out, America is smart enough to remain unbought!

Final bit of advice - return from whence you came! Do it now. The next Administration might be willing to mount a serious investigation of your despicable ass and you might find yourself stripped of your American citizenship and deported so that you can never foment mischief here again! Come to think of it, George old fellow, that might be why the huge amount of effort and enthusiasm has gone into the attacks on Sarah Palin. Hungarian men are generally terrified by and thoroughly cowed by women in general, and Hungarian women specifically.

Best way to get rid of you would then be to elect Sarah Palin as our next president to replace The Lightbringer!

Thursday, November 18, 2010

Were it thee or me, we'd be heading "up the river" to a nice peaceful stay in prison. Since it's a member of Congress, maybe he'll be censured! Big whoop!

Meanwhile, what is happening with Maxine Waters? So far as I can tell - absolutely nothing. Darrell Issa - where are you when we need you?

The behavior of these people who stay and stay and stay AND STAY in office into their dotage is proof positive that we need term limits and we need them now. Of course, the Lightbringer won't sign such legislation so we'll have to wait 2 more years - by which time I'm very much afraid that the current incumbents, elected with so much hope, will have become part of the problem, rather than part of the solution! Feeding at the public trough just plain sucks the ethics out of Congress critters!

Darned straight I voted for Bristol Palin. She is the only TRUE amateur left in the competition. Jennifer Grey and her crocodile tears about how she misses Patrick Swayze (they hated each others' guts by all accounts - so that's pretty phony in my view) and her pain and her physical limitations - it's all currying favor with the viewers in order to make it appear justified that she wins - which seems to have been the program all along.

Of course the people who wanted Brandy and that spoiled rotten, poor loser, snotty, temper-tantrum throwing Max to remain on until next week are crying "foul" but bottom line - I voted my five votes for Bristol and a lot of other people did too. She is refreshing and delightful.

Don't retreat, Bristol - just reload! I intend to keep on voting for you. AND watching "Sarah Palin's Alaska" on TLC. The left is just terrified that Sarah Palin is going to recover quite handily from the non-stop character assassination being directed her way. The American people are a lot smarter than they give us credit for being - we're on to your nonsense Leftwing losers.

TSA now has scanners that may or may not provide a pretty doggone accurate picture of our naked bodies and may or may not be dangerous to our health - depending on how often a person takes to the skies!

If you "opt out" of the scanning machine experience, TSA intends to conduct a patdown of recalcitrant passengers. The manner in which those pat downs is being conducted is what seems to be riling airline travelers. The TSA screeners are seen by the flying public to be a bunch of people who would otherwise be unemployed due to their lack of real skills. And they have been reported to be fairly offensive when dealing with people who opt out. Maybe some sensitivity training is in order. Whether that is or is not the case, the methodology is fairly offensive. I'd rather be scanned than have some screener sticking her hand in my underwear! And to be perfectly blunt, my fat and sagging 68-year old body will provide nobody on earth with prurient fantasies!

Here we are folks, some 9 years plus a bit past 9/11 and we're chafing at the idea of stringent security being applied at long last to those who are opting to fly. Mind you, the underwear bomber and Richard Reid were both on flights that originated elsewhere and thus would not have been stopped by TSA's precautions. But do we honestly know how many other plots may have been foiled? Do we? We want to be safe but we seem to want that safety at the expense of common sense precautions. I'm not saying this is the ideal solution but it's a start. What say you?

UPDATE: It has now been revealed that airports can "opt out" of having TSA do their security. There are 4 other firms that are approved for this task and some airports (albeit smaller regional facilities) are choosing to go that route. Further, people who feel they have been handled improperly (as in groped unnecessarily or too intimately) can and should call the police and turn in the TSA agent who behaved in a thuggish fashion. Perhaps when there is a personal consequence these people will be less abusive of their tiny little bit of power!

Harper ended her earthly journey this morning. Her pain became so intense that her family felt that they needed to take her to the St. Louis Children'sHospital, where she passed away.

She only lived less than two years, however, she brought many of us together in our prayers for her and her family, and in our realization how precious life really is.

Thank you all for your prayers on Harper's behalf, and for Amber and Ryan to be able to get through what they have yet to face.

Cindy McCain, wife of Senator John McCain, is opening her yap about the military's "Don't Ask Don't Tell" policy - and my question is - who gives a rat's eardrum what she thinks.

Her husband is the Senator from ARIZONA. He didn't win the presidency madam. Your opinion is unnecessary. The matter is before the Supreme Court of the United States. When they rule, then it will be semi-settled law. What YOU think isn't relevant.

You and your empty-headed daughter should shut the hell up!

Those conducting the count of the absentee and write-in ballots in Alaska are being urged (indeed hectored into) considering the "intent of the voter" rather than following the strict letter of the law in Alaska, to wit:
"Alaska law says a write-in vote is only counted if "the name of the candidate or the last name of the candidate is written in the space provided." It goes on to say [b]"the rules set out in this section are mandatory and there are no exceptions to them. A ballot may not be counted unless marked in compliance with these rules."
The law says absolutely not one damned thing about "voter intent" and thus, in my view, votes not properly completed should not be counted for that loser-bitch Murkowski (clearly my inclination is obvious and no, he isn't related to me so far as I know).

A new film, open now in limited release and opening nationwide on 11/19 is 127 Hours which is based on the book by Aron Ralston detailing his harrowing survival of a climbing accident. Ralston ended up cutting off part of his own arm in order to free himself from the crevice in which he was trapped. The brilliant young actor James Franco plays Ralston. Mr. Franco was completely unknown to me until earlier this year when he somehow was persuaded to play a short-term role (two different times) on the daytime show "General Hospital" where his character was both creepy and charming - and a stone killer as well. The film looks to be a wrenching experience and yet, I believe I will go to see it. Franco is that good an actor.

On 11/03/10, Al Qaeda in Iraq took it upon themselves to murder Catholics who were worshiping in their own church, bothering nobody. The story, from Catholic News says, among other things:

BAGHDAD, Iraq (Catholic Online) - Catholics, other Christians, other people of faith and people of good throughout the world continue to mourn and reflect upon the brutal killing of Catholics at Holy Mass in Baghdad last Sunday. However, those associated with the Muslim extremists who perpetrated the evil act continue to spew their hateful and violent rhetoric. We are committed to updating our global readers on the unfolding danger that these threats portend against Catholics and other Christians. Serious times demand a serious response.

Asia News has provided excellent coverage of the massacre and its aftermath. On November 3, they filed this report: "The so-called 'War Department' of the 'Islamic State of Iraq' (ISI) al-Qaeda in Iraq issued a statement on the Web to announce that the passing of the deadline of its "ultimatum" to the Egyptian Coptic Church to release two Egyptian women, Camilia Cheh and Wafa Constantine, wives of Coptic priests, whom according to the terrorists are detained against their will in a convent after converting to Islam. Their conversion has been denied by all the Islamic religious authorities in Egypt, and the Muslim Brotherhood have harshly attacked the authors of the massacre in Baghdad. Al-Qaeda, however, confirms that all Christians and their churches have become "legitimate targets" of the terrorist group and are therefore are in danger. The message issued today by the Iraqi cell of al-Qaeda also makes explicit reference to the Vatican.'

"While confirming its desire to attack the Christians, the terrorists say they want to give one more chance to the Catholics of the Church of Rome. They claim that "the War Office of the Islamic State of Iraq announced that starting today all the churches and Christian organizations and their leaders are a legitimate target for mujahedeen. These politicians and their bosses in the Vatican should know that the sword will not fall on the heads of their followers if they proclaim their innocence, and distance themselves from what has been done by the Egyptian Church. Al-Qaeda calls on Catholics to "send a clear signal to the mujahedeen of their effort to put pressure on the Egyptian Church in order to obtain the release of two women, their prisoners."

My first impulse is to want to eradicate every single member of this murderous death cult masquerading as a legitimate religion! I am, however, a good Catholic woman who will, instead, pray for the repose of the souls of the dead and for the return to sanity of those who orchestrated this shameful and despicable attack.

And by the way, have we heard ANYTHING at all in the so-called "elite media" about this OUTRAGE! I think not. And that is the most troubling aspect of all!

The rumor mill is grinding out the fascinating news that Mrs. Pelosi intends to hang onto whatever little scrap of power she can, for as long as she can. This shouldn't be difficult considering that the more moderate Dems who supported her against their own best interests are mostly gone from the House.

Bookworm Room says it best:
I’m worried that we’re showing hubris by getting all excited about Pelosi’s decision to retain her leadership status. (Here’s an example from Roger Simon, whose writing is always so delicious.) Nancy is vile. Nancy is dishonest. Nancy is intellectually stupid. Nancy is all that. But she’s also got a feral knack for manipulating people (aided, no doubt, by her dishonesty), and I have no doubt that the core players (Soros, the Chicago people) are behind her move because they think it will benefit them. I don’t know how it will benefit them, but I’m neither manipulative nor dishonest. We should certainly feel free to laugh, but I’d still keep my hand on my weapons around that woman.
Be afraid, be very afraid. The Wicked Witch of San Francisco continues to walk the halls of Congress. And she will use her cunning and her total lack of honesty to do everything she can to wreck whatever repairs are attempted by the GOP majority.

Why do I get the feeling that the entrenched powers that be at the GOP will totally misread, ignore and generally screw up the gains made thanks to the Tea Party rebellion? Apparently, Newt (no fool he) "gets it" or so it would seem from his conversation with the presumably biased George Stephanopoulos of ABC News.

The ossified brains and impulses of these worthies are capable of destroying through sluggish or largely absent forward motion all that it took the Tea Party an entire year plus to achieve. In other words, we need to kick these lard asses the hell out of the way. These putzes need to be firmly convinced that the Tea Party Movement is not fashion but rather substance and that what the people who comprise the Party want is as far from business as usual as it can get!

We'll see what shakes out as the days and weeks go by to the seating of the new Congress on 1/1/11. But start marshaling your strength and your Rolodex to force these old farts into positive action.

No, he wasn't suspended for impersonating a journalist - although that charge can be and has been made - he was suspended for making 3 political contributions. Sorry - I didn't know you surrendered your civil rights when you went on TV to host a seldom watched, largely ignored television show. Even if you are Keith Olbermann and one of the least likable, least believable, least talented pundits around.

I don't think for one minute that the cagey, albeit unhinged, Wicked Witch is going to go quietly off the national stage. Speculation that she will retire or sit quietly in the background while others supplant her as leader of the Dems in the House seems to me to be more wishful thinking than an actual prognostication.

One of the reasons this demented virago has had such power over her brother Democrats in the House is that she knows where every single body is buried. For two years she has faithfully and with apparent enthusiasm, carried the Kenyan Wetback's water, only to see her majority status get kicked to the curb in the wave of revulsion by voters! Old Nancy doesn't strike me as the type to take that kind of a slap upside the head peaceably.

I am, most assuredly, waiting for the other shoe to drop. It's entirely possible that Herr Lightbringer's trip to India is coming not a moment too soon.

That's the latest party line from the pinhead who occupies the White House. I was raised to be respectful of my president, despite how partisan his behavior might be, but in the case of The Lightbringer, civility fails me frequently!

Apparently, it is now Zippy's story that we Americans in flyover country and the South are just too damned stupid to understand what he was trying to do for us (or to us)!

I have a news flash for you Mr. President. You are full of shit! I'll match my IQ against yours any day of the week. Hell, I'll match Buddy and Rusty's IQs against yours any day of the week. I understood from day one what a completely unqualified, incompetent, Socialist pinhead you are and nothing you have done since 1/20/09 has served to change my mind about your absolutely disastrous policies and the despicable people with whom you surround yourself!

Get real, Mr. President, and we might like you a little better. Not much better, just a little better. You are an inherently unlikable man, you know. Arrogant, elitist, condescending. But hey, despite all of that, you are one of God's children just like me, so I will be tolerant. And forgiving. As much as my "stupidity" will permit!

What her detractors don't seem to realize is that the process of insulting Palin, they are insulting the majority of the country. If being a self-made success story, a working mother, a church-going member of a small-town community and a believer in moderate to conservative political viewpoints disqualifies Palin, what does that say about mainstream America? The inherent condescension at the heart of the anti-Palin campaign is coming across loud and clear, and it may actually be boosting her popularity.

Cinnamon Stillwell

As always, our one-woman blog army friend Sissy Willis pushes the narrative in common sense directions - and she has the most gorgeous cat named Tiny!

The 11/2 election is complete [except for recounts and other Dem huggery buggery with "found" ballots and such] and the Republicans have taken a number of seats away from the Dems in the Senate - although The Cadaver is still the Majority Leader - and Nancy Pelosi, the Wicked Witch of San Francisco has been resoundingly stripped of her power and her position a heartbeat from the Presidency! Thank you dear Lord.

From now until the first week in January 2011, could we all just take a nice deep breath and cease the never-ending campaigns?

We're weary of the bloviating, the hype and the nonsense!

And it won't be pretty. Now the increasingly irrelevant pundits of the Leftwing so-called "elite" media is taking aim at Rep. Michelle Bachman (R-MN). They have begun the demonizing, the name-calling, the character assassination.

And of course, there will be crashing silence from the precincts of the National Organization for Women, even though this kind of sexist-based nonsense is supposed to be anathema to them! Let's face it folks, the Dems and the Left fear conservative women because we are FIERCE and we can kick butt and look good doing it!

Our role model is Laura Bush who is, at all times, a complete lady. It is NOT Michelle Obama who hasn't got a clue how to dress for her position and her body type and insists on tricking herself out like a sideshow clown! Except not as attractive!

Now that the American electorate has handed the Dems their asses - and their walking papers in many instances, THIS nonsense emerges from the bunker where the remaining Dems are currently hiding:

Reid, especially, renewed a threat he made before, that Republicans must stop obstructing and start cooperating. The majority leader, who survived a close reelection battle, said he spoke early Wednesday afternoon with Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.).

“Republicans must take their responsibility to solve the problems of ordinary Americans,” Reid said. “Simply saying ‘no,’ as we’ve had this past Congress … won’t bring jobs back. It won’t strengthen the economy, and it won’t help families who are struggling to make ends meet. ‘No’ is not the answer. It has to be ‘yes.’ Not our ‘yes,’ but a combined ‘yes,’ something we work out — a consensus ‘yes.’”

Senator Reid, you horse's ass, the Democratic Party had overwhelming control of both houses of Congress for FOUR years and accomplished nothing but bad legislation and out-of-control spending, despite the clear indication from the electorate that this wasn't what they wanted from you and your confreres!

And you have the brass balls to open your ignorant mouth?

When the Tea Party movement began about 18 months ago, the so-called "elite media" basically told them to "sit down and shut up" with Katie Couric famously calling us the "great unwashed middle" of the country!

But as Michael Goodwin writes in the New York Post:

Nothing short of a revolution. That's the only way to describe the public upheaval that took place yesterday. Nancy Pelosi has been fired, the Senate is far more balanced and President Obama was resoundingly rebuked. Republican governors could control upwards of 30 statehouses when the smoke clears. That's what you call a consequential election. As predicted, the explosion of government cost and the economic slump were the driving factors for voters. The results immediately reinvigorate the checks and balances inherent in the two-party system and bring a needed dose of fiscal sanity to Washington and the states.
It was evident from his news conference today that the President doesn't understand what happened yesterday. He still thinks he's in control of the world he sees around him. Unfortunately, he is afflicted with a severe case of reality myopia! The American people, for whom he works (this is the part he never understood - he works for US, not the other way around) resoundingly rejected all of the Obama agenda, particularly Obamacare. We rejected Barack Hussein Obama's administration and all its works. We rejected socialism. We rejected the manipulations of such as George Soros, Andy Stern, the SEIU and ACORN. We voted YES to American exceptionalism and we voted NO to apologizing for our country's magnificence.

Now let's get back to work and start to rebuild that which 20 months of a trifling popinjay have wrought!

Idiot that slips through the cracks, that is!

Here's evidence of one:

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), who will have far-ranging subpoena power in the new Congress as a result of Tuesday’s election, is going out of his way to dispel perceptions that he’s a partisan bombthrower who plans to use his newfound authority to paralyze President Barack Obama’s administration.

“I want to prove the pundits wrong. My job is not to bring down the president. My job is to make the president a success,” Issa said on a midnight conference call with reporters, just after House Minority Leader John Boehner’s victory speech.

Rep. Issa - you may need to have your job responsibilities explained to you again! Your job is to represent your constituents in California! Perhaps John Boehner can explain that to you when he slaps you upside the head.

As of 1/1/11 - a LOVELY date to be sure - we will no longer need to be subjected to the preening, overly botoxed and supremely self-satisfied face of Rep. Nancy Pelosi. Thanks be to G-d! You brought this on yourselves when you displayed your complete and utter disregard, even contempt for the voters who are your employers.

It is my great and very real fear, however, that John Boehner won't be a whole lot better. Granted, he's younger and better looking than Pelosi (by a LOT) and he currently seems to be hearing what the Tea Party and other Republicans are saying about growing down the size and intrusiveness of the Federal government, but in the end, will he really act on what he's hearing.

My feeling is that his fellow majority members will make sure that he behaves in the manner we expect from him.

Congratulations to all the winners. You've run the race and achieved your goal. Now let's see if you can govern!

Teresa Heinz Kerry's poodle, Sen. John F. Kerry (D-Gigolo) has this to say:

BOSTON --Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry unleashed a broadside Thursday against Republican "obstructionism," saying the GOP and its talk-show allies have created a "period of know-nothingism" in the country.

With his party braced for defeats in the midterm elections, the 2004 Democratic presidential nominee told the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce that a Republican machine -- fueled by talk show hosts such as Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck -- has undermined progress and misled the public into believing Democrats created the country's current economic problems.

Kerry singled out attacks on an energy deal he was negotiating with Republicans, which fell apart amid criticism of an emissions-trading program. Some 20 Senate candidates are now opposing the proposed deal in their campaigns.

"It's absurd. We've lost our minds," said a clearly exasperated Kerry. "We're in a period of know-nothingism in the country, where truth and science and facts don't weigh in. It's all short-order, lowest common denominator, cheap-seat politics."

To underscore his claim, he said statistics show Republicans had blocked Senate business with filibuster tactics more during the past 18 months than the period between the end of World War I and the Apollo moon landing in 1969.

"The obstructionism is stunning," Kerry said, noting the country still lacks an assistant treasury secretary. "I think America really needs to know more of this kind of tactic and how it's shortchanging us."

If you and your moronic cohorts hadn't spent the past 18 months attempting to subvert the U.S. Constitution and ram unwanted, unnecessary and ultimately destructive legislation down our throats, you Dems wouldn't be in this pickle (pardon the pun).

"We the People" showed YOU, Senator, what we thought of you when you ran for president. And lost. Because we rejected your arrogant elitism and your fraudulent claims to some exceptionalism that you don't possess. We rejected your lies about our soldiers in Vietnam, we rejected your "Don't you know who I am?" condescension and your feckless, leftwing pandering. So here's a word of advice, Senator. Shut the hell up! You will be nothing more than a pimple on the ass of our nation's history when you have moved on to your dirt nap and nothing you can say or do will change that eventuality.

bumper sticker for MY car...

And from Argus Hamilton (who used to provide the "end of the broadcast with Paul Harvey quips!") "President Obama met with union leaders at the White House Tuesday. They were event-planning. The thirty-three Chilean miners are coming to Washington this weekend to advise the Democrats on how to get out of the hole they find themselves in by Tuesday."

h/t Piano Girl

This tiny little human is enduring suffering and pain that would demolish an adult. Please pray for her.

A miracle is too much to hope for at this time, but your prayers for less pain for Harper, and the strength for Amber and Ryan and their immediate families to get through this would be very much appreciated.

Harper's left eye has been affected by the cancer, and she can no longer close that eye.

Thursday Oct. 28, 2010
Written by harper's mother, amber:

It's been a rough week for Harper and all of us. Last friday night her pain began bothering her again. She was up most of the night tugging at her thigh and groin, only wanting to sleep in the floor. So that's where we've been every night since....crawling around the floor in pain. Her methadone and oxycodone doses have been increased multiple times yet barely provided minimal comfort. She is very good at distracting herself during the day, so each day we thought she may get better and be able to rest. Unfortunately this did not happen. Our hospice team and Childrens doc decided to put her on continuous morphine IV through her broviac. Our first pain med of choice was fentanyl but as luck would have it there is currently a nationwide shortage of it and we aren't able to get it for home care until Friday. The morphine drip was started yesterday at 8am at home, and by 3pm we realized were still going to have a tough time getting her pain controlled, so we were encouraged to take her Children's Hospital and get started on the Fentanyl. (Harper has had adverse reactions to morphine in the past as it makes her itchy, emotional, and very irritable so we didnt want to mess with it too much.)

We arrived yesterday around 5pm and were able to be directly admitted to ER yay! (thank you Angie!!!!) We thought the fentanyl was going to be the answer, but along with the chain of events this week, it proved to only make things worse for Harper. As her pain continued, we continued to increase her dose only to max out the meds she was able to have and give her a terrible fit of itchiness and extreme distraught. She was given a drug to relieve those feelings as well as a nice dose of Ativan to help her calm down, and then we were able to get a room to ourselves to work out the pain control for the rest of the night. (thank you Selah!)

I think it was around 12-1am that we decided to start her on an-another narcotic- and begin the process again of figuring out the appropriate dose to ease her pain. At 2am she went in to respiratory distress due to the amount of narcotics and various drugs given to ease the pain and calm her. She was given yet another med to reverse the effects of the narcotics and bring her out of the distress. After what seemed like a very long time, she began breathing normally on her own and we were back to square one. The Dilantin was started once again and she seemed to get an hour or so rest in before she was ready for a bolus and an increase dose. That is the process for the early am......wake up in pain, get bolus, wait, another bolus, wait, increase dose, etc. Thanks to our AMAZING night nurse, Megan, for doing what you do so well! We are so blessed and fortunate to have such a caring staff on 9W that love and care for Harper.

We also had day 3 of radiation on her eye at 8am this morning. She is always sedated for this which made things a little scary given all of the narcotics and Ativan she was given. As usual, Harper came out like a champ and is now sleeping comfortably on Ryan's chest:) We plan to hang out here until we have a full nights rest with little to no pain.

Things are becoming more and more real each day of what exactly is happening to our baby. Her eye is huge, her pain is intense, and she is very exhausted ( as are we!). I can't even begin to explain the new insurmountable, extreme sadness we feel. Being back on 9W is bittersweet, a place of hope for us for so long and now a place of comfort as we most likely will not return (unless we have more pain issues). Many new children are on the floor yet a few of our old friends remain. When does it stop? Such a vicious cycle from one child to the next all rotating in and out of treatment.

Please, get out your A-game and pray that Harper's pain is controlled very soon and she is able to go and rest and enjoy her time once again! Pray that Ryan and I find a way to hang on by a thread and somehow get through this. Pray that our families do the same.

Thank you for any prayers you can offer up to God for this sweet little girl and her family. Anna Marie

This morning, I opened a bill from the endocrinologist's office that showed a balance due of $20 for my co-payment under my health insurance. Problem is, I was pretty sure I had paid the $20 when I showed up for my appointment.

I receive a daily statement online from my bank and I check it carefully every morning. I've been phished twice before and I've learned vigilance is a necessity. So I checked my report of the transactions from the date when I paid my co-pay to the doctor's office and sure enough, I had already paid the $20. Then I called the billing company for the provider and suggested they check their records. They did and eventually they agreed that indeed, I had already paid that $20 bill and didn't owe the doctor's office a thing!

Granted, it's only $20 but they add up. One of the reasons health care has become so expensive (Obamacare notwithstanding) is that fraud abounds and honest human error as well. So we must take responsibility for monitoring our own expenditures carefully to be sure none of that happens.

Our president, The Lightbringer, has made a point of saying that when the Republicans (not if, mind you, WHEN) take over control of Congress, they will have to work with him!

Huh? It occurs to me that HE will have to work with US! Not the other way around. I'm just saying!

The left is busily and to some minor effect, attempting to paint The Tea Party as a bunch of right wing crazies, unintelligent, intolerant and generally worthless human beings. While we all know that they are full of excrement and fulminating cretins to boot, I think we need to spend a few minutes talking about what caused the Tea Party to blossom into the massive movement it has become and why it is a mindset that can be ignored only at your peril.

One of the things that I have found utterly frustrating over the past ten or so years is the intolerant and rancorous rhetoric being employed in the public discourse. I have always blamed it in part on the rise of James Carville, a man for whom I harbor neither liking nor respect. But I don't think I've been totally fair to the man. As a friend of mine here in Virginia would say "He jest talks thata way!" And where I'm going with this is, we need to stop judging each other.

In the first place, we've already been forewarned by The Judge of us all that we ought not judge, lest we ourselves be so judged. It's good advice and advice that should be heeded.

The new norm now is that if someone says something to you with which you don't agree, and if you are a person of the Left, your default position is to shriek and yell and denigrate that person until they either hit you upside the head, walk away or respond in kind. This accomplishes nothing. And freedom of speech cuts both ways.

I personally think that Joy Behar is a blithering idiot, but I respect and will defend her right to say whatever wrongheaded, crazy, bigoted thing she wants to say. Unfortunately, she does not afford the same consideration to others and that's where the problem lies.

This is the climate in which the Tea Party Movement flourished and rightly so. For a long time, we calmly went along until the elected officials in the current administration decided that "We the People" needed to be told what to do, when to do it and how to do it. We the People decided that the pinheads in Congress needed to get out of our way and let us be the people we have always been - resilient, capable, creative and hard-working, and above all, self-reliant. We made our feelings known to the Congress and the President and they decided to ignore or denigrate our beliefs, our preferred direction for our nation and our belief structure and life choices. Ergo, the current revolution (and make no mistake, that is precisely what the Tea Party Movement is accomplishing, a revolution).

The concern of some of us, sitting on the sidelines to some extent and examining what is happening out there, is that having achieved their aims, the Tea Party Movement will become complacent or neglectful of the revolution they have created, thus allowing it to stagnate and die. We must make certain that those who have replaced the Old Guard of fusty time-servers remember always who is the employer (us) and who is the employee (them). We must encourage them to have other job choices to which they will return and that public service is not now, nor should it ever be, a career choice. That wasn't what our Founding Fathers envisioned and it shouldn't be what happens today. Those who are elected must possess a spine. They must not go along with the possible choices of the old, failed candidates, the likes of Mitt Romney, Tim Pawlenty, and others of that ilk. We must bring new blood to the mix and a Sarah Palin candidacy should be encouraged.

The Old Guard of the Republican Party must be eased out - by force if necessary - so that nonsense such as what has happened to Tea Party candidates in this election cycle shall not and will not ever happen again. Christine O'Donnell may not have been THEIR choice, but she is OUR choice and thus should be supported. Perhaps, as many of us have done in this cycle, contributions should be made to specific candidates rather than to the national party. And we will not, for the President or anyone else, go to the back of the bus - now or ever!

Someone who cares about this woman needs to get her menopausal ass to a doctor and get her on some hormones. She reminds me of my sister who had a hysterectomy at age 35 and then proceeded to go through 4 jobs in 2 years. Her boss would come in, say "good morning", she would shout "I don't have to take that crap from you!" and march her happy self out the door. Finally a friend of ours advised her to see a doctor and get some hormones and she kept the next job for nearly 7 years!

If this over-the-top, vitriolic virago doesn't modify her behavior, she's going to be jobless and will take The View down with her - which in my book would be a good thing but nevertheless! Nobody should be harboring that level of bile and that depth of hatred for other human beings. It just isn't healthy for her and anyone who happens to be caught in the wake of her hateful spewing!

Surely Barbara Walters is making it clear to Ms. Behar that her rants are not amusing or productive! If Barbara Walters isn't doing so, then SHE is senile and needs to retire altogether and sooner rather than later!

UPDATE: Sharon Angle is nothing if not a class act. Today she sent Joy Behar a beautiful flower arrangement with a note thanking Joy Behar for the $150,000 the campaign has raised in the past 24 hours!

That should make Behar's head explode!

Apparently there are some schools that are banning the display of the American flag in order to refrain from being "controversial" to which I say BULLSHIT!

Fox News has a poll up right now and you can vote by clicking on this link and voting. At the moment it's running 75% against banning the flag anywhere.

If you dislike this country so much that you are nervous or negative about the showing of the America flag, then you can just flat out get the hell out! We don't need you here and we don't want you take up valuable space and jobs from people who DO want to be here!

C.J. the 12-year old tyro who cuts my grass when he can get his A.D.H.D. under control enough to stick to the schedule, came bolting over to my house last Saturday when he saw that I had friend Joyce's grandson Brandon helping me out around the house - specifically cleaning off the deck! Brandon was already done with his labors and we were relaxing for a few minutes - watching the OSU Buckeyes pound the life out of the Purdue Boilermakers 49-0! And a lovely pounding it was too! Anyway, C. J. came marching up to my front door wearing an Ohio State University sweatshirt which he claimed to hate and which I then informed him he'd better wear each and every Saturday for the rest of the year!

Poor kid. His family is so tight for money, the idea of college is a foreign concept to him. Thanks Lightbringer! Another family screwed over.

And it's time to start solidifying your intentions at the polling place. What I do not wish to hear is this "Well, I didn't vote because I wanted to teach the GOP a lesson!" No, you are obliged and required by your constitutional DUTY to vote. It's because you didn't vote (against the Hopey Changey disaster) that my sister hasn't worked for two years. It's because you didn't vote that a lot of people have lost their life's savings. It is YOUR doing that the country is in this pickle and it's high time you started to put your oar into the water and start rowing with the rest of us.

Just remember, SEIU and ACORN are both poised to institute all manner of chicanery after the polling places close. It's our job to make the tsunami of votes so enormous that they cannot jigger the election results no matter how crooked and manipulative they are!

So CAIR - itself an organization that has been rumored to possess strong ties to Hamas and Hezbollah - objected to Juan Williams admitting that he experiences concerns when obviously Muslim people get onto an airline flight where he is a passenger. Well hell CAIR - I experience outright fear when I get onto a plane with apparent Muslims on board. Why wouldn't I, given the occurrences of 9/11/01? Do you think Americans are THAT stupid?

NPR with all the spine of a bowl of Jello responds to CAIR's complaint by firing Juan Williams, a man with whom I seldom agree but a man who is also less of a deranged pinhead than most liberals by a country mile! So much for freedom of expression, NPR. I hate to break it to you morons, but I'm a conservative and some small percentage of my tax dollar is going to support you! Bernie Goldberg, a former liberal and a reliable observer of the machinations of the so-called "legacy" media had this to say:

"So Juan Williams is fired for saying something the liberals at NPR find controversial?" Goldberg said. "One more piece of evidence that liberals have forgotten how to be liberal."

Goldberg continued: "These are the kind of people who brag about how open-minded they are -- as long as you agree with them. And here's the dirty little secret: lots and lots of liberals feel the same way Juan does when they get on an airplane. And a lot of those liberals work at NPR. Juan's 'crime' was saying it out loud."

Weekly Standard Editor and Fox contributor Bill Kristol also had some choice words for NPR, which he dubbed "National Politically-correct Radio." Kristol concluded a post about the firing by saying: "NPR -- unfair, unbalanced ... and afraid."

What a bunch of wussies!

UPDATE: In an excellent posting here at Flopping Aces, we are reminded that not too terribly long ago, Sarah Spitz at NPR said the following:

In a post to the list-serv Journolist, an online meeting place for liberal journalists, Spitz wrote that she would “Laugh loudly like a maniac and watch his eyes bug out” as Limbaugh writhed in torment.

In boasting that she would gleefully watch a man die in front of her eyes, Spitz seemed to shock even herself. “I never knew I had this much hate in me,” she wrote. “But he deserves it.”

Insofar as we are able to discern the facts, this hateful creature was never even chastised for her hate-filled speech! Liberals truly are insane and nasty!

UPDATE #2: This just in:

Fox News moved swiftly to turn the controversy over Juan Williams’s firing to its advantage, offering him an expanded role and a new three-year contract Thursday morning in a deal that amounts to nearly $2 million, Matea Gold reports.

Roger Ailes took a jab at NPR in the process.

"Juan has been a staunch defender of liberal viewpoints since his tenure began at Fox News in 1997,” he said in a statement. “He’s an honest man whose freedom of speech is protected by Fox News on a daily basis.”

And there you have it. NPR's stupidity works in favor of Juan Williams' pocketbook. And he is better off without those horrible knotheads!

The big stink over Bill O'Reilly's [accurate] comments on The View is being further fueled by no less than brainless Behar and Whoopi - both of whom apparently are still furious that they were made to look like the pinheaded morons they are on their own show. Behar seems to think that because she used to be a school teacher [and I've known about some truly brain-dead teachers] that she somehow has a lock on intelligence, which is emphatically NOT the case. She is a brainless idiot who regurgitates whatever leftwing talking points are fed to her. Whoopi has occasional moments of lucidity but Behar is just hopelessly dumb, immature and deranged as well!

Could it be that they are continuing to fuel this debate for the sake of ratings? I don't think O'Reilly could be the guilty party in this because his ratings are phenomenol, but The View could be in trouble. It ought to be. We ought to be boycotting this egrediously biased show that gives a voice to five (yes, Elizabeth as well) idiotic females!

Lest we forget, our Democratic brothers and sisters have a long history of "cooking" elections - or in other words, indulging in fraud.

The following in The Weekly Standard:
This attitude must change. Nixon to the contrary, it is not an honorable and decent thing to allow a hustler to take office on the basis of falsified returns. This election is crucial in one other sense apart from the obvious issues at state -- as a test of the electoral system. It is clear that the Dems will do whatever they have to do to maintain hegemony. What this means in practical terms is that any GOP victory of less than 1% -- and perhaps even higher -- is in danger. Nothing could be clearer. Michelle Obama's recent violation of election law in Chicago was in no way the cheerful faux pas that has been portrayed in the media, but instead a signal to party officials and the rank and file that anything goes.

As anyone who has been paying attention knows, Michelle Antoinette was cheerily electioneering, contrary to Illinois law, within the polling place. This activity, like the brazen behavior of the New Black Panthers in Philadelphia is unacceptable and should not be tolerated. We in the center or on the right need to be vigilant and not let the Stuart Smalley activities continue!

Don't allow it to be close. Don't assume that we're going to win. We need to win big so there's no excuse for them to finagle!

Congratulations to the University of Wisconsin at Madison for their defeat of the Ohio State Buckeyes at home last Saturday.

Breaks my heart to say it, but they so richly deserved the win!

See, I can be classy when I want to be!

Who remembers then-candidate Barack Obama's campaign stop in Berlin (as in Germany - not New Hampshire) where there was a big poster printed in German?

People living in glass houses, Zippy, should lay off the stone throwing!

Despite being castigated by her own boss, Barbara Walters, as being "unprofessional" when she and Whoopi Goldberg first attempted to shout down O'Reilly, with whose opinion these two ditzy dames apparently disagreed, and then, with typical liberal adult behavior walked off the set of The View instead of staying and engaging in a reasoned and sensible debate with O'Reilly (who, by the way, I don't much like).

On her own show on HLN with Jesse Ventura, Ms. Behar objected again to O'Reilly saying that Muslims did the killing on 9/11. Joy, Joy, Joy - where were YOU on 9/11? Those weren't NORWEGIANS who hijacked 4 airliners and then flew them into buildings (or the ground of Pennsylvania), killing thousands of people and themselves. Those were Muslims you incredibly stupid oaf of a woman!

There are appropriate locations for the Mosque and less than a block from Ground Zero is not one of them. Let them build it somewhere further away from what is and should continue to be hallowed ground.

That's all Bill O'Reilly was trying to say. Yes, it's their right to build their freaking mosque. But WE DO HAVE A RIGHT to object to the location. WE have free speech as well you dim little twit!

Here is what Mr. "Tingle down (or up) my leg" had to say on his show yesterday about the miraculous rescue of the Chilean mine workers:
CHRIS MATTHEWS: Okay let's talk about what the...message to a lot of the people was. The message coming out of the Tea Party people, and lot of them are good people, is every man for himself, basically. "No more taxes, no more government, no more everything. No more safety net. No more health care for everybody. Everybody just get out there, make your buck, save it, screw the government, move on." Right?
Mr. Matthews it must be a sad and lonely place in your head where the brains of normal people usually reside! In your case, it's just a hodgepodge of ridiculous liberal talking points and ill-considered prejudices. You and Joy Behar should move in together. She is as empty-headed and filled with bile and prejudice as you are!

To take an event as monumentally inspiring as the Chilean miners' rescue and use it willy-nilly for the making of some stupid, inconsequential and inaccurate point about the Tea Party movement (which apparently scares the living daylights out of Liberals because it's based on things like the Constitution, common sense and a belief in a Higher Power - things Liberals know little to nothing about) and also to try to curry favor with his betters and/or make himself look cool is nothing short of shameful and appallingly wrong.

Shame on you Chrissy Matthews. Shame on you and anyone who agrees with your moronic, ill-considered opinions.
