"Congressmen who willfully take actions during wartime that damage morale and undermine the military are saboteurs and should be arrested, exiled, or hanged." — President Abraham Lincoln

Quisling coward Dems and quivering turncoat Republicans - you know who you are and you also know, deep in your heart of hearts, just how contemptible is the action you are rushing to take in your traitorous sanctimony. But NO - you p.o.s. disgraces to the American ideal just had to go and put POLITICS above honor, demagoguery above statesmanship!

Be ashamed, be very very ashamed!

You have to rub their noses in their mess immediately, Gayle. Otherwise they forget why they should be punished.

Shame? Nahhhh, they won't understand.

Well, we could always start with tar and feathers--not that humiliation seems much of a deterrent anymore---possibly just the discomfort and inconvenience of the whole thing could start to get a message across?--S

Lincoln never said that. Please stop misquoting him.

Well, if Lincoln never said it, he should have! A Professor Weller included it in his article as a scholarly and informed synopsis of Lincoln's thought on the subject.

So, he probably said it, but though it was not necessarily written down.

But heck, we're saying it now! So, Quislings, take heed!
