WELL - IT'S SUMMERTIME AND THE DISTRICT IS OVERRUN WITH TOURISTS!

For some reason I cannot shake the feeling that they are here to visit the relics of the great country formerly known as the United States of America - now known as Obamaland! Somehow I cannot dismiss the belief that this is our last great summer as a nation and we really ought to make an effort to enjoy it fully!

We have a president whose grasp of our nation's history is so ephemeral he feels compelled to apologize for our former greatness, all the while doing what he can, as often as he can to diminish us in the eyes of the world. We used to be a nation with a spine. We used to be the kindest and most generous people on the planet. Anyone who had trouble, we were there. Now those we formerly aided are feeling somewhat sympathetic to our plight as a nation going down the sewer of history!

Quiet rumblings can be felt, however, of Americans who are not willing to surrender their liberty to the ham-handed nannyism of the Obama Administration. These patriots are not willing to be told what to drive, what to eat and what to think. They will drive their comfortable and safe vehicles and will not worry about non-existent global warming. They will eat the wonderful foods that our nation's farmers have grown. They will continue to think and act as free Americans filled with hope and possibilities and are not willing to surrender their souls to the socialism of the current administration. And those quietly authentic Americans can and will prevail as they work to return our nation to its true owners - the people of the United States - and to reject the infamia of the Obamanation!

My country 'tis of thee, sweet land of liberty! Government of the people, by the people and for the people shall not perish from this earth!
