OUR PRESIDENT APPARENTLY HOLDS HIS EMPLOYERS IN LOW ESTEEM!

I'm really getting very weary of this Chicago politician/thug feeling he has the right to condescend to American citizens as though we were just a silly twits undeserving of his attention! It doesn't matter if he does it directly or through the mouth of his snarky Press Secretary Gibb. There's a young man who would benefit from having his mouth washed out with some Lava soap! Disrespectful mouth on him for sure!
WASHINGTON (AP) - The White House on Friday dismissed as pointless the furor over President Barack Obama's plan to deliver a televised back-to-school speech to the nation's students.

"I think we've reached a little bit of the silly season when the president of the United States can't tell kids in school to study hard and stay in school," presidential spokesman Robert Gibbs told reporters. "I think both political parties agree that the dropout rate is something that threatens our long-term economic success."

President Obama, buy a clue! The American people are your employer and we do not appreciate it when you feel compelled to smirk down your nose at us! If American parents find it objectionable for you to make a direct approach to their children, however benign, then you must respect that.

We deserve no less than that respect and will accept no less than that respect.

Great place you got here. Followed your link at Wizbang.

I'm a cat-lover, too.

Then Laura, you are a wondrous creature! As you can tell from my blog, I am in the thrall of a 16-pound Maine Coon named Samuel Herbert Miller II (after my late uncle) who is gorgeous and complex and altogether entertaining. I would be seriously bereft without him.

Come back and visit any time Laura.

Oh this is rich... "the silly season?!" Could Obama and his people be any more arrogant? Some days I feel like we're living out Alice in Wonderland, with political Cheshire cats, caterpillars and mad hatters all expecting Americans to turn a blind eye to their irrationality.

Spent hours reading your blog when I found it. Love it. Had been looking for a Gayle Miller from Lourdes Academy who is going to miss her 50th class reunion Sept 18 if her classmates don't find her soon. I'm helping them.
My four cats think this is purrfect.

You found me!

Gwen - I graduated Lourdes in 1959! However, I will miss the class reunion because I will be in the hospital at that time, recovering from surgery. Give my love to all - especially Jill Bostwick.

Gayle-will pass that message along. We have a whole school gathering and Mass every year. There is a lovely watercolor of the school you might want. '66 and '67 have a picture of it at their website and I have a few hundred left. Gwen

P.S. Sam - Hunter here on behalf of myself and my brother Green Light. Sorry to hear about your Can Opener cutting off your means of escape from the porch. I had my own private patio until the Can Opener found out I could get on to the roof. Then I got limited to the screen porch too. At least I could still get the occasional chipmunk or mouse. Then she boarded that up, too. I fell for you, buddy. I have just discovered that you can climb up these screen things all the way to the ceiling. Will let you know if I find anything to do up there.

Gosh Hunter, you're full of good ideas! Right now I'm busy taking care of my Can Opener because I love her a lot.
